Job description:
Role Summary
• Support the GDN Legal team within CORE functional area in India in drafting and reviewing terms and conditions through Procurement contracts/sub contracts, proposals, agreements and other documents relevant to CORE support area; and
• Assist Legal Services within Procurement domain in negotiating NDAs, contracts, Statements of Work and other documents relating to various operating groups in accordance with company policies and procedures, applicable laws, and customer requirements.

Generic Responsibilities
• Understand process improvements in CORE support area and assist team in drafting checklists and process documents;
• Manage SharePoint and communication records and train team members on the process by developing checklists and process documents;
• Assist in introducing process measures for ad-hoc and new service lines;
• Assist in negotiation and to drive closure of contracts for low complexity deals;
• Provide individuals with positive and developmental feedback, and support any specific Legal Services training initiatives
• Provide training or support to Legal Services specific training;
• Ensure excellence of output of CORE team members through guidance and review support (e.g. conducting effective QA of other team members' deliverable);
• Support implementation of new initiatives in CORE support area or within Legal Services (in addition to allocated role);
• Provide coaching and mentoring of Legal Services personnel; and
• Supervise Level 11 or below (as required).

Specific Responsibilities aligned to Role

• Drafting and reviewing of contracts/sub contracts agreements, flow downs and other documents relevant to CORE support area and performing specific research based on internal stakeholders requirements;
• Provide assistance in negotiating NDAs, Contracts, Statement of Work and other contracts with internal client and external client when needed;
• Maintain contract/subcontract compliance in line with company policies and procedures and ensure issues are timely escalated to line manager and resolved;
• Support Legal in residential lease matters;
• Understand Code of Business Ethics (COBE), Data Privacy, Anti-Corruption Laws and apply the same to ensure compliance and manage Procurement domain
• Directly liaise with internal stakeholders and deal teams on various legal and commercial issues;
• Competent in building credibility and effective relationships within Legal/Legal Services team and with business and/or external Clients (as applicable);
• Understand process improvements in CORE support area and assist team in drafting checklists and process documents;
• Assist in negotiation and drive closure of contracts for low complexity deals;

Knowledge and Skill Requirements
• Understand general basic corporate business practices and contracting regulations.
• Good understanding of contractual principles required to draft, review, assist in negotiation for contractual arrangements;
• Understand relevant company policies and exercises reasonable judgment to apply company policy and procedure in risk mitigation and timely escalates to line manager with issues
• Understand company's interests while communicating with executives at all levels of the organization
• Demonstrate understanding of company's approval processes and ensures that all stakeholders are timely engaged and informed on the relevant process
• Understand basic negotiation skills
• Strong time management, prioritization and analytical skills;
• Fluent in English with strong oral and written skills and competent in delivering presentations
• Efficient in conducting legal research on primary and secondary legal sources such as West Law, LexisNexis etc.
• Display high level of responsiveness and follows through on commitments;
• Detail-oriented, organized, flexible and focused at all times;
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word skills; and
• Efficient in conducting legal research on primary and secondary legal sources such as Manu Patra, West Law, LexisNexis etc.
