Industry Programs is one of the Industry Practices within Accenture’s Capability Network (CN) team. We serve a set of increasingly interconnected consumer-relevant industries across Industry Groups (IGs) – Consumer Goods & Services (CG&S); Retail; Life Sciences; Automotive, Industrial Equipment, Infrastructure & Transportation Services (AIIT); and Air, Freight & Logistics and Travel Services. Consumer Goods & Services (CG&S) Industry practice works with leading CPG clients across the globe across entire value chain. Principal Duties
And Responsibilities: General Business Consulting
• Solve an unstructured problem where brief provided is minimum. Solves the problem by breaking down into structured modules. Follows fundamentals of issue-based problem solving
• Construct basic components of business case and value analyses e.g. market share improvement, sales uplift, cost optimization etc.
• Perform Research and Analysis of client’s business, market, competitors and make appropriate inferences even if information available is insufficient. Can interpret data in context of industry and company specific issues
• Shape the analytics operating model with an understanding of challenges in data maturity in CPG companies & addressing the same
• Understand & implement analytics solution ecosystem with basic understanding of technology stack for on-premise and cloud (GCP, Azure, AWS)
• Understand & shape strategy around Master Data Management & Governance, Data Quality Management, Data Architecture & Security to enable analytics development
• Work closely with the development team and develop/debug scripts in Python/R
• Report the impact/outcome of the analysis with periodic refresh leveraging strong analytical & presentation skills (PowerPoint, Excel and BI tools like PowerBI, QlikSense, Tableau)
Sales & Marketing Analytics


• Understand and translate client business problems to analytics hypothesis & model • Lead team in the data synthesis process, solution design and creation of actionable insights, implications and recommendations to address client's business issues in the areas of Route-to-market, Sales optimization, Revenue management, Incentive management, Consumer targeting, Marketing analytics using 1P, 2P and 3P Data • Provide high-end consulting to clients to help them sharpen their business strategy by implementing analytical models using techniques like Linear Regression, Logistic regression, Bayesian regression, Factor analysis, Cluster analysis, Sampling, ARIMA that support the realization of business objectives • Develop KPI frameworks for evaluating direct and indirect impacts of initiatives • Generate knowledge sharing trends in the team, participate in developing white papers & share new trends in sales & marketing analytics with colleagues and evolve one’s own opinion on the concepts Client and Project Management • Has strong project management skills and can own project management for module / part of a project • Works on client site with minimal supervision and prepare project documentation • Can talk to clients & internal stakeholders (Development team, Data/Cloud SME etc.) independently both onshore and onsite Communication • Strong written and verbal communication skills. Confidently communicates and articulates. Identifies, escalates, tracks and resolves issues in a timely manner • Strong deck writing skills. Can make a crisp deck with a compelling storyline • Make presentation to the client & lead some presentations Qualifications: • MBA from a Tier 1/2 Institute and Undergraduate degree in Computer Science/Statistics or related discipline (Preferable), or • MTech/MS in Computer Science/Statistics or related discipline from a reputed institute Experience: • Industry Expertise: Experience in Consumer Goods Industry • Domain Development: Worked Develop assets and methodologies, develop of points-of-view, research or white papers, support development of marketing collaterals • Has worked in the Analytics/Data Science Team (as part of the firm itself or as part of consulting organization) for leading CGS companies like Unilever, P&G, Nestle, Coca Cola, PepsiCo, AbInBev, Mondelez etc. • Developed & implemented analytics model-based solutions addressing challenges like Route Optimization (Traveling Salesman), Outlet Segmentation/Churn/Cross-sell or Upsell, Incentive Management, Revenue Optimization (Pricing, Portfolio/Assortment, Promotion), Marketing Mix Modeling etc. • Understanding of B2C & B2B Sales & Marketing both in developed & emerging markets Key Competencies and Skills: • Overall experience of minimum 3 to 6 years with at least 2 to 6 years of hands-on experience in Analytics projects for CPG companies • 2-4 years’ experience in the analytics/data science team with CPG industry or developing analytics solution for CPG in a consulting firm • Strong understanding of sales & marketing function & business questions in CPG context • Interest in coding with high competency in either R or Python • Practical experience developing & implementing analytics solution • Basic understanding of data maturity challenges, and experience with defining analytics operating model based on data governance, architecture, security principles • Understanding of Machine learning, IoT, Agile Methodologies, MapReduce, Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Cloud Platforms etc. is a plus • Experience working with development team for analytics model implementation either on-premise or cloud solution is a plus • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate actionable insights, trends and measure performance
