Job Summary

The Contracting work broadly includes delivery of Contracting scope (which includes different forms of Client facing/Service Contracts) against Accenture’s Contracting Policies and Procedures. This may be done working solely or with a team of other Legal Services professionals, including offshore and/or onshore Contracting professionals from within Accenture Legal Group. It also encompasses the need to liaise with other teams within Accenture, like senior business stakeholders (Client Account Leads, QA leads, Sales Leads etc.), deal teams, solution architects, finance, HR etc., as well as with external clients and subcontractors/vendors. The objective of the role is to provide end to end legal/contracting support around Accenture policies and processes as well as broader contractual and commercial support using various tools and methodologies focused on internal policy compliances, risk mitigation, contract execution, new opportunities etc..

Key Responsibilities:

• Supports Accenture Business and Client teams, onshore Legal teams/Legal Services Professionals or Contract Management in accomplishing assigned tasks related to Contracting which includes but is not limited to negotiations, drafting, review or redlining of various legal/contractual document (like Client facing MSAs/CSAs, term sheets, SOW, Change Orders, RFP/RFIs, Proposals, NDAs etc.) in an end-to-end manner.
• Assisting teams in developing mitigation plans for various legal, contractual, operational risk areas as per Accenture policies and processes and local market conditions
• May work on small/multiple ad-hoc engagements or a single engagement of limited duration in capacity of an individual contributor or with a team of legal services professionals. This includes managing the work performed by other members of the team.
• Support (or Lead) one or multiple geographies and legal systems based on current requirements
• Support (or Lead) various Contracting service lines/initiatives like Post Merger Integration (part of M&A) – Due diligence and Delivery; Dedicated Account support and other Contracting pilot processes
• Supports GLN India Contracting Lead or Geo. Coordinators with various management and administrative activities (this includes work allocation, providing improvement inputs, developing training strategies and documents, leadership reporting etc.)
• Set performance standards for self and team, evaluate work performance for self and team, take action to recognize excellence and to correct deficiencies
• Collaborate effectively with team, supervisors etc. to achieve work metrics related to Contracting team

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

• Deep understanding of contracting principles and market dynamics with strong ability to read, analyze and advise on low to mid-high complexity contracts
• Ability to work independently in an end-to-end manner and to respond swiftly in high pressure situations in a detail-oriented, organized and flexible manner
• Ability to lead from the front and manage assignments. Ability to set priorities for self and team and juggle multiple demands
• Ability to represent GLN, advise and interact with senior management. Ability to provide out-of-the-box solutions where the "text book" answers are not enough
