Vasco Simões is managing director for Latin America within Accenture Strategy. His role focuses on assisting companies and governments in the development of business strategies, operating models, digital strategies and innovation, cost management transformations, customer strategies, human capital management initiatives, large-scale business transformation and organizational change.
Following a seven-year career as a chemical engineer, Mr. Simões joined Accenture in 1994. For the next 20 years, he advised global clients in multiple industries across 10 countries and three continents. During that time, he also was instrumental in developing Accenture’s next generation of leaders, and in building the Accenture Strategy practice in Brazil. Mr. Simões recently rejoined Accenture after serving on the board of a family company. He returned with a wealth of new experience and insights to help Accenture clients achieve high performance.
Mr. Simões has a Chemical engineering degree from the Mauá University (Escola de Engenharia Mauá) and a MBA from the IESE in Spain. He is based in São Paolo, Brazil.
