Accenture and the World Economic Forum

Accenture is a strategic partner of the World Economic Forum. For the past 18 years, Accenture has worked closely with the World Economic Forum and the other strategic partner organizations to advance the Forum’s goal of driving positive change and improving the state of the world. Through this relationship, Accenture participates in a year-round program of speaking at the Annual Meeting in Davos, Switzerland and regional summits in Latin America, China and India, and attends the many regional meetings around the world. Accenture also collaborates with the World Economic Forum through joint-research projects and communities and initiatives.

Industry Partnerships
Through the World Economic Forum Industry Partnerships, CEOs and senior leaders from top companies collaborate with the Forum on its mission at the industry level. Together with the Forum’s multistakeholder networks and experts, Accenture identifies and assesses key issues in specific industries. Currently, Accenture is a member of the Information Technology and Professional Services Partnerships.

Global Agenda Councils

The World Economic Forum’s Global Agenda Councils create a network of more than 1,500 global executives considered to be top thought leaders in their respective fields. The 80-plus Councils cover academia, business, government, international organizations and society and Accenture executives participate in four Councils, including Europe, New Energy Architecture, Logistics and Supply Chain Systems and Youth Unemployment.

The Forum of Young Global Leaders
The Forum of Young Global Leaders is a community of exceptional young leaders who share a commitment to shaping the global future. Each year, the World Economic Forum identifies 200-300 extraordinary individuals worldwide to join this powerful international community. Peter Lacy, Accenture’s managing director of sustainability services in EMEA and Latin America, is currently a member.

Risk Officer’s Community
Steven Culp, managing director of Accenture Risk Management, is a member of the Risk Officer’s Community of the World Economic Forum. Part of the Risk Response Network, this Community will connect business and public sector leaders to bring together the practical tools, solutions and approaches to advance the world’s capacity to deal with complex, emerging systemic risks.
