Brooks Kitchel is managing director for Retail within Accenture Strategy. His role focuses on working with leading global retailers to address the critical issues facing their businesses.
With more than 23 years of consulting experience to the retail and consumer products industries, Mr. Kitchel has overseen major change initiatives for some of the world’s leading retailers and brands. Named one of Consulting Magazine’s Top 25 Consultants for Client Service in 2009, he has focused on merchandising strategy, organizational transformations, assortment and inventory optimization and system design and implementation. He has managed large, cross-functional engagements covering merchandising, planning, product development and sourcing activities. His expertise covers execution of major change efforts focused on both growth and cost cutting.
Prior to his current role, Mr. Kitchel was the CEO of Kurt Salmon and the global managing partner of Kurt Salmon’s Consumer Group. Kurt Salmon was founded in 1935 and was acquired by Accenture in 2016.
Mr. Kitchel has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Cornell University in Ithaca, NY. He is based in Washington D.C.
