WHAT IS
ReSUME

Accenture recognises that even the most-talented professionals can find it daunting to return to work after taking a career break.

The ReSUME Returners Programme is a 4-month, competitively-paid work placement to empower professionals, who have taken a career break of two years or more.

Many highly-skilled, experienced, professional women and men have taken career breaks because of family duties, to travel/volunteer, or other reasons. In many cases, there comes a time when they want to return to the workforce – but there can be challenges. The ReSUME Programme is designed to:

  • Build confidence
  • Refresh participants’ skills
  • Get up-to-speed on anything new
  • Eliminate any worries about changes in the workplace, e.g. new tools and technology
  • Dispel any perceived obstacles

Accenture Ireland’s Returners Programme is designed to coach and support participants to refresh their existing talents, learn new skills and strengthen their confidence. ReSUME, which is now in its third year, has proved that supported returners can get back up to speed very quickly and deliver excellent results.

The ideal ReSUME candidate:

  • Has recently taken a career break of two years or more
  • Is passionate about business and/or technology
  • Is motivated by the prospect of progressing their career with a permanent role at Accenture, at the end of the programme

The next programme will run from February to May 2020.

WHAT ReSUME OFFERS:

Our partner, Women Returners, will provide you with a four-stage Coaching Programme, which has been specifically tailored to address the practical and psychological challenges faced by professionals re-entering the workforce. The coaching workshops facilitate a more rapid re-integration into the corporate environment, increasing your contribution and satisfaction from returning to work. The workshop format for the coaching facilitates you building good relationships and friends among the other returners on ReSUME.

Whether you are returning to work after 2 or 20 years, you will find that our programme will make you feel part of a strong community of like-minded people who will help ease your transition, as well as share experiences, tips and advice.

You will easily build a strong support network of mentors and buddies, and gain access to a diverse range of training as well as clubs, societies and networking groups which will allow you to meet peers through a range of community and social events. After you complete your induction, you will start on a project and for the next three months you won’t just be shadowing others; you’ll be getting in the mix right from the start.

APPLICATION PROCESS

Step 1: Register Your Interest

Take the first step to ReSUME your career by registering your interest! Simply complete and submit the short application form linked in the button below, by 22nd September 2019.

Step 2: Quick Chat Over the Phone

Following your registration of interest, we may contact you for a quick follow up conversation. We will ask a few questions to determine whether ReSUME is the right fit for you. If it is, you may be invited to a coffee morning on 1st October 2019.


Step 3: Coffee Morning & CV Masterclass 1st October 2019

Attendees at the coffee morning will:

  • Discover more about the ReSUME Programme
  • Hear from previous ReSUME candidates
  • Learn coaching tips from one of our partners, Women Returners

The second half of the morning will cover CV and LinkedIn tips. The goal of this event is to help you determine whether ReSUME is the programme for you and help you prepare for the next phase of the process. Attendance at this event is not mandatory, so don’t worry if you can’t make it.


Step 4: Formal Application with CV

You may receive an email with a link to formally apply to the programme on our website. Please note that you will need to include a CV with your formal application.

Closing date for Applications & CV is: 14th October 2019


Step 5: Interview

The interview afternoon will take place in one of our Dublin offices (at Grand Canal Harbour) where you'll meet members of our teams in a 1:1 discussion to understand more about who we are and the potential roles that are available.


Step 6: Receive an Offer

If it looks like you’re a good match after the interview afternoon, we will invite you to join the ReSUME Programme. We will endeavour to get in touch with all participants before Christmas with specific timelines for the next phase.


Step 7: Onboarding

Congratulations and welcome to ReSUME! If you have been offered a placement on the Programme your 4-month placement will start in early February with a 2-day induction period before joining project assignment and resuming your career journey.
