We are seeking a new practitioner to join the Cloud First Growth Team with a speciality in AWS Cloud Architecture.
The Cloud First Growth Team supports our clients on their cloud journey. We are a technology team with strong consulting skills who help our clients adopt modern cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform.
The team provide strategic level advisory as well as technical implementation leadership. We work with the wider Accenture Technology to resolve some of our clients’ biggest problems.
The Opportunity:
As a Technology Architect, you will be responsible for designing modern cloud-based solutions, primarily on AWS. You will work as part of a team to integrate systems with AWS cloud environments.
In this role you will:
You are expected to be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) with deep knowledge in AWS Architecture. You will act in an advisory role in meetings and be the primary contact (go-to person) for AWS Architecture.
You will often work in a multi-disciplinary team with Engineers, Developers, Project Managers and Testers. You will be expected to be the “technical conscience” of the team and lead by example.
- Act as an advisor to clients on how to use AWS and support them in their journey to cloud
- Create robust AWS based designs making use of compute, data and AI services
- Lead technical teams containing engineers, architects and other technical resources
- Support proposals and sales efforts in the AWS domain
- Work across Accenture teams to share expertise and knowledge in AWS
Qualifications
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
AWS Experience:
- Developed multi service solutions from inception to delivery and run
- Experience of hybrid AWS deployments including AWS Connect, VPCs and Transit Gateways
- Experience deploying applications using EC2 and ELBs
- Deep understanding of AWS networking and DNS systems (Route 53)
- Strong understanding of deploying secure solutions making use of Security Groups, NACLs, IAM and Identity Based Policies
Architectural Experience and Skills:
- Over 8 years of IT experience with at least 2 in an Architectural role
- Proven experience of designing solutions in a collaborative environment from inception to delivery
- Very strong communication skills and ability to navigate between competing priories including preparing and delivering presentations to Design Authorities
- Experience in complex multi-vendor environments
Qualifications:
- Primary degree in a technical field
- AWS Certified Solution Architect – Associate or above
Set yourself apart if you can demonstrate some of the areas below:
- Experience in a Consulting or IT Services company
- AWS Certified Solution Architect – Professional
- Advanced degree in Computer Science or other technical discipline
The following would be advantageous:
- Experience in Kubernetes style deployments (OpenShift, EKS, AKS)
- Experience of ECS, Fargate, Lambda and other Serverless solutions
- Experience with Mobile Solutions with a strong customer experience component
- Experience using new ML and AI solutions such as Sagemaker and Bedrock
- Experience with Microsoft Azure or another Cloud Platform
