Senior Financial Accountant

We are hiring a Senior Financial Accounting to support our client across a number of finance business areas, with some of the responsibilities highlighted below. You will also be expected to help support any project, engagements, or system implementations that may arise.

Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with policies, support financial governance on tech projects and reporting on transport technology capital investment projects
Understand financial implications of new transport technologies
Acquire thorough understanding of relevant transport operators operations
Provide financial evaluation and sensitivity analysis of fare changes
Manage monitor financial performance, analysis, and business partnering
Oversee payroll, reporting, grant payments, RTP budgets, and funding streams
Conduct national international benchmarking, prepare funding submissions
Ensure accurate timely reports with explanatory business commentary
Coordinate monthly TCU returns, track income expenditure, monitor reserves
Liaise with client sections, lead support finance governance projects
Analyze returns for funding and cost monitoring, verify funding allocations
Provide insights, identify improvement opportunities, and potential savings
Develop in depth knowledge of local tools and applications for General Ledger
Facilitate cross team support, participate in ad hoc projects.
