Job Description

We are hiring a professional Accountant to support our client across a number of finance business areas, some of the responsibilities highlighted below. You will also be expected to help support any project, engagements, or system implementations that may arise.

Coordinate month end close, control monthly accounting for Profit and Loss and Balance sheet
Balance sheet control and monthly reconciliation
Prepare monthly management accounts, route profitability analysis, revenue forecasts
Develop detailed business and financial requirements for new travel technology
Create annual budgets with management in transport technology teams
Monitor financial performance, conduct financial analysis and business partnering
Ensure compliance with established policies and procedures
Manage financial aspects of capital grants, including project grant reporting
Support financial governance on transport technology capital investment projects
Understand financial implications of new transport technologies
Liaise with managers, internal staff, transport operators, and outsourced Leap back office team
Provide insights, identify improvement opportunities, and potential cash savings
Liaise with other client sections, implement back office systems, policies, and procedures
Manage grant system helpdesk, support introduction of new functionality
Coordinate with external auditors, facilitate cross team support, including training for transport coordination units
Support ad hoc projects.

Qualifications and Experience required
Professional accountancy qualification CIMA ACA ACCA CPA or equivalent
Qualified accountant with 3 years relevant experience

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong accuracy and attention to detail
Demonstrated responsibility for timely delivery of tasks to tight deadlines.
Excellent client relationship skills
Cross team support and collaboration
Strong problem solving and process improvement skills
