Operations Analyst – The Dock
 

Location: Dublin


About the role

The Dock is a multidisciplinary research and incubation hub, where designers, doctors, innovators and makers are doing things that matter for people, places and the environment. We are an innovation centre located in the heart of the Dublin Docklands. Our workspace is open, interactive and kitted out with the coolest new tech to encourage creativity, collaboration, integration and fun.


As part of the Performance Enablement Team, reporting to the Operations Business Partner, you will support the Financial Management, Talent Management, Governance, Reporting and Planning of Dock operations.

The role will be a core support to Dock teams and your responsibilities will include the following areas:
 

Performance Management

  • Co-ordinate and support the tracking of Business Performance Metrics and Targets and associated reporting of the Value 360 framework
  • Work with the Operations Business Partner to maintain the processes and reporting structures for running the financial Recoveries and the return on investment framework.
  • Provide support for value realisation processes and reporting
     

Budget Planning Development, Tracking and Reporting

  • Support the preparation of annual team budget planning processes and monthly reviews
  • Co-ordinate and support the preparation of reports on budget performance
  • Work with the business teams to maintain and update budget plans
  • Contribute to Dock reporting processes to support consolidated budget updates
     

Operational Performance Reporting

  • Support the preparation of operational reports
  • Provide analysis of operating metrics
  • Support the preparation of regular reviews of operating performance with business leadership teams
  • Prepare updates on the status of the operation to business leadership teams
  • and other stakeholders
  • Perform ad-hoc analyses to respond to operational questions
  • Support Dock Operational Reporting with updates and insights
  • Update and maintain CRM data.
     

Talent Management & Development

  • Support the Talent Supply and Demand process
  • Support the processes and tools needed to build team talent resource plans
  • Maintain the map of people and skills demand for all active and future initiatives, and the active list of resource demand for team activities
  • Perform ad-hoc analyses to respond to capacity-related questions
     

Governance

  • Run the planning, scheduling and logistics for governance forums
  • Work with the Operations Business Partner and business leadership team
  • to develop agendas, co-ordinate content, facilitate the running of meetings, gather and communicate outcomes to relevant stakeholders

  • Ability to work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver results in a sophisticated environment
  • Proactive, process and results driven
  • Strong written and verbal communicator
  • Highly organised and excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to adapt with changing circumstances and comfortable with ambiguity
  • Enjoys contributing ideas and following through on team-based work
  • Ability to prioritise and outcome oriented
  • A hunger to constantly challenge and to find innovative ways of doing things


Qualifications

Skills and experience

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2+ years’ experience in a relevant role
  • Experience with planning and budget management
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Shown communication and collaboration skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
