Role: Senior Counsel - Technology & Innovation

Career Level - 6 - Senior Manager

Location: Dublin, Ireland

We are looking for a Senior Counsel who will work with the Technology business to evaluate service and product offerings to prepare those offerings for market, considering potential legal and other risks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Global Innovation Network teams to efficiently identify and support first impression innovation legal issues.
  • Support Accenture’s Ventures & Open Innovation team to review prospective investment target technology and to implement post-investment relationship strategies.
  • Identify legal and regulatory risks and develop mitigation and self-regulating governance strategies, in collaboration with colleagues across the business, GSL and the wider Accenture Legal team.
  • Enable other Legal teams across Accenture - developing contracting mentorship, providing SME support to deal teams and crafting compliance frameworks.

Knowledge Skills and Experience

  • 8+ years meaningful experience in a corporate or law firm setting
  • Experience analyzing sophisticated facts and situations to provide risk analysis and mitigation strategies
  • Understanding or willingness to learn applicable regulatory landscapes as the need arises for the offerings, including with respect to data protection and privacy
  • Track record of developing positive relationships with senior business leaders
  • Experience crafting deals and evaluating innovative commercial models for new product and service offerings


Who You Are

  • Education: JD or equivalent degree or legal qualification and admitted to the bar or otherwise authorized to practice law
  • Strong curiosity about learning about new technologies
  • Dedication to a creative, inclusive, and diverse workplace
  • Ability to build a sense of belonging in a team and establish common purpose inside the larger Accenture Legal department
  • Focus on analysis of the business, mentorship to the right business and legal teams, modernization of more mature processes, and active enablement of our off-shore legal teams to handle mature work
  • Open to learning, working with and understanding cross-cultures and locations throughout the Accenture global organization
