The Financial Services Team

You Are

You’re a driven, high performer, looking to work in a dynamic environment where you can continue to learn and grow. You’ll be supported by world-class colleagues, who you’ll work collaboratively with to solve some of our client’s biggest challenges. You have an interest or previous experience in financial services, preferably in professional services, and like the sound of being the architect of solutions that are truly transformative. You are both analytical and creative and can communicate complex ideas elegantly and in a way that resonates with our clients. You’re also a master co-ordinator and problem-solver who can steer the delivery of complex, multi-stakeholder change initiatives to get things done.

Skills include:

  • Strong analytical, research and problem-solving skills – ability to combine relevant information to form strategic insights and design creative and workable solutions

  • Confident and empathetic communicator, both written and verbal

  • Able to structure complex ideas and articulate them logically and creatively in a simple, compelling and visual way (strong PowerPoint skills a plus)

  • Strong project management skills with proven track record of driving large-scale, complex transformation programmes

  • Excels in highly collaborative environments with experience working across diverse teams and geographies to solve complex, often ambiguous client challenges

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with proven experience developing and managing relationships with colleagues, teams and senior executives

  • Ability to understand complex issues, quickly absorb and process information, and work creatively in a problem-solving environment

  • Extremely strong collaboration, planning, influencing, prioritisation and time management skills, with the ability to mobilise the right people and teams to execute

  • An appreciation of how technology and digital can contribute to solving clients’ complex business problems; comfort operating at the intersection of business and technology

The Work:

  • Delivering transformation & large-scale complex change programmes– from concept through requirement definition, designing and testing solutions and deployment out to customers

  • Leading a team or part of a team, working to agile or other recognised delivery methods

  • Become a trusted advisor to financial services clients looking to solve critical business and technology problems – bring innovation, thought leadership and new propositions that can transform their organisations

  • Help develop and define client’s business and technology strategy and lead the implementation of world-class solutions

  • Research the latest industry and global market trends to offer inspiring points of view

  • Identify and shape propositions for our clients, teaming with our global Accenture network and FinTech / ecosystem partners to deliver the best capabilities

  • Develop and coach our people and grow the capabilities of our teams


Here’s What You Need:

  • An excellent University Bachelor’s or advanced degree or equivalent experience

  • Business and/or technology transformation delivery experience either in a client-facing capacity (consulting firm or other professional services) or an in-house strategy, change or project delivery function

  • Financial services experience in the Irish market welcomed but not essential – other industry experience will also be considered

  • Natural leadership with ability to establish trust-based relationships, mentor colleagues and build collaborative, diverse and effective teams

  • A track-record as a high performer in previous roles, with recognition from clients and colleagues for consistently delivering high-quality outputs in short timeframes

  • Drive, curiosity and ambition to undertake new challenges and continuously learn and grow

Set Yourself Apart:

  • You have relevant industry experience within banking, capital markets / asset management or insurance

  • You have experience in one or more of the following banking areas –consumer banking, commercial banking, core banking processes and technologies, private equity, wealth tech, investment management, mortgages, credit, payments, cards, fintech / neobanks

  • You have experience in one or more of the following areas within General or Life & Pensions – including underwriting, claims management or product/proposition development

  • You have experience in the following capabilities – M&A or post-merger integration, business transformation, sustainable finance, risk and financial regulatory compliance, customer experience and proposition design, emerging enterprise technologies, big data, applied intelligence

  • You have solution architecture experience, assessing, building and integrating system

  • You have data analytic skills, manipulating, interpreting and translating complex data sets

  • You’ve got an advanced degree, MBA or financial industry certification

  • You’ve got experience with agile ways of working or methodologies (e.g. Scrum or SAFe)

  • You have experience analysing and investigating business and technical processes  

  • You understand digital and emerging technology trends (Big Data, API, AΙ, Microservices, Blockchain, Cloud etc) and their impact on both overall enterprise architecture and operating model

  • You’ve got sales origination experience
