Role: Legal Counsel

Career Level: 7- Manager

Location: Dublin, Ireland

Your Responsibilities:

GCC legal counsel to Irish business

  • Local compliance advice – including global compliance programs and relevant compliance policies
  • Support for all local and global DP reviews of Accenture tools, apps, initiatives etc
  • Local regulatory advice - including management of periodic statutory lobbying submission
  • Management of Corporate Functions legal and compliance queries, including Ireland supervisor for offshore Legal support team and escalation point for and development of guidance, training and templates
  • Support for UKI Corporate Citizenship team on all legal matters, including initiatives, pro bono work, policy review and refresh

Legal support for the Dock in Dublin (Accenture’s global Centre for Innovation)

  • Management of Corporate Functions legal and compliance queries
  • End to end legal support for Innovation Services, Projects and Events (e.g. hackathons, workshops etc.)
  • Deal with ad hoc legal queries

Global Intellectual Property support

  • Manage the IP approval and review process for Accenture’s Global IP Committee:
    • Provide triage for all transactions that need to go through the IP approval process (e.g. IP acquisition and disposal, licences, publications, marketing agreements, trade associations, open source contributions)
    • Review and draft IP-related agreements and open issues.
    • Policy approver for trade association applications and cross-border IP licensing
    • Negotiate and advise on book publication contracts/copyright issues
    • Manage review of transactional documents from an IP, brand and tax perspective
    • Arrange execution of IP legal documents
    • Support with development of guidelines and playbooks, as required.

Legal Access pro bono programs – Ireland Local Champion

  • Responsible for establishing local guidelines, setting cause and project priorities, approving all local projects, and managing project and partner leads to identify and fulfil all projects.

Work with Regional and Global Legal and Corporate Function teams on transformational projects Legal pro bono program, sustainability initiatives, IP initiatives, local data privacy reviews
