Global Solutions Strategy Senior Consultant - The Dock

Play Strategy/Nexus Capability:

We work with Accenture, clients and our partners to research and develop new assets, methodologies and thought leadership around key focus areas to accelerate the development of Accenture’s innovation capability globally.  

We are looking for a Play Strategy Consultant to join our Global Play Strategy Team, led from the Dock in Dublin.  

The Global Play Strategy Team accelerates the development of new technology-enabled market solutions that bring together multiple Accenture capabilities within a single, scalable proposition and strategy. The team identifies, prioritises and manages a pipeline of cross-market (global) solutions for evaluation, strategy development and funding to accelerate the time to and impact in market.  

What you’ll be doing 

As a Global Solutions Strategy Senior Consultant , you will be responsible for orchestrating and driving the key activities that will accelerate the launch and scaling of Accenture’ highest priority solutions. You will work with stakeholders across Accenture to support the development and delivery of market-leading software, products, offerings, and/or assets for Accenture and our clients using in-depth knowledge of business case creation, competitive analysis and win strategies. 

In doing so, you will play a role in the assessment, evaluation and development of strategies that will transform the way Accenture originates, sells and delivers value for clients. 

As a Consultant within the Global Plays team you will: 

  • Review, assess and make recommendations around investments in proposed new solutions that Accenture is looking to further define and develop into market.  

  • Support Accenture Industry and Client Group leads to accelerate the GTM and Asset strategy to accelerate market-leading, offerings, products or business services into market. 

  • Support our deal teams to define the economics and commercial model for solutions, reflecting pricing, cost and market opportunity 

  • Contribute to strategic analysis to influence product and offering strategies focusing on target clients, client segmentation, market awareness and expansion, working alongside industry/growth platform subject matter experts, client account teams, and other offering leads. 

  • Review market and competitive research to uncover insights into proposed new solutions, offerings, products and services at Accenture. 

  • Evaluate and advise on strategic gaps in the competitiveness and differentiation of these solutions based on market insights, industry trends, information on market size and deal structures.  

  • Assess and develop and advise on the trade-offs of different intellectual property strategy options. 

  • Support the ongoing commercialization and product-market fit of the asset, product, offering or business service including its connection to larger deals 

  • Act as a connector and a coach, engaging and mobilizing, key functions across Accenture and ecosystem partners to support execution of the strategy. 

  • Establish and build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across Accenture.

  • 5+ years working within Corporate Strategy, Market Development, New Product Development or Start-up Strategy 

  • Proven strategy development experience 

  • Experience in Business Case Development using Commercial Intelligence and Competitive Analysis               

  • Strong experience building and maintaining strong working relationships with senior colleagues, clients and key stakeholders 

  • Strong Programme and project-management experience 

  • Strong knowledge of business case development, strategic innovation and new product development approaches 

  • Experience designing and conducting competitive and/or market research for new products or markets using a variety of methods 

  • Strong content design, creation and presentation experience  

  • Multi-disciplinary team and collaboration experience  

  • Experience and understanding of Accenture’s overall operating model and Innovation Network is an advantage 

Key Skills

  • Highly strategic thinker with the ability to outline an evidence-based strategy for scaling business value 

  • Experience in Business Case Development using Commercial Intelligence and Competitive Analysis               

  • Ability to prioritise multiple demands and adapt with changing circumstances 

  • Creative, strategic thinker who is excited by solving challenges with the ability to work from a blank slate and manage through ambiguity 

  • Ability to synthesize key insights and learnings from a wide variety of sources including quantitative materials and qualitative inputs like stakeholder interviews 

  • Proactive and able to work independently 

  • Ability to define ambiguous tasks, seek clarification and work through completion 

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills 

  • A flair for making connections and simplifying the complex
