Business Development Content Lead, The Dock

Lvel 8 – Assistant Manager 

 

Objective of the role

Now with three years of experience in understanding complex global innovation opportunities for Accenture, The Dock is seeking a Business Development Content Lead to work with our Navigator (Business and Proposition Development team).

 The Business Development Content Lead will bring clarity and creativity to the content we use to communicate the proposition of The Dock, and the propositions we develop for Accenture’s clients.

 

Key responsibilities

Working to the Strategy & Propositions Manager of The Dock, the Business Development Content Lead will support the Navigator (Business Development) team, with five key responsibilities:

Driving the ongoing refinement and communication of The Dock’s value proposition

  • Own and manage the ongoing development of The Dock’s key stakeholder/audience personas in collaboration with the Accelerator (marketing) team

  • Act as a key stakeholder in the cross-Dock content strategy

  • Act as a champion of The Dock’s value proposition, creating key messaging, communicating across The Dock and acting as a stakeholder in content created by our Accelerator team to communicate it

Working with Innovation Project Leads to develop content that will resonate with their intended market/clients, whilst providing evidence to support the overall value proposition of The Dock

  • Develop content for priority innovation propositions

  • Develop sales and marketing materials as required

  • Support the team to create and design priority client proposals

  • Coach innovation leads on developing messaging and content

Owning and developing the toolbox of resources used by the Navigator team to support scouting and new proposition development across The Dock

  • Design, create an implement new ways of working in line with ongoing evolution of the team and The Dock

  • Own the collection of Develop new templates that support proposition development and client/stakeholder engagement

  • Champion our brand guidelines and be an advocate for adopting them in the content the team produce

Supporting the Commercial Director of The Dock with leadership-oriented content 

  • Develop content to support strategic planning and decision making for Dock Leadership

  • Generate content rooted in insight and learning from client engagements with The Dock’s innovation propositions to help inform strategic decision-making

  • Develop content to support strategic planning and decision making for Dock Leadership

  • Maintain a cross-Dock visualisation of the portfolio of work across The Dock

  • Champion a cross-Dock approach to content creation

  • Work to align measurement and reporting-related content across The Dock in line with business objectives and KPIs

  • Support the ongoing evolution of how The Dock tracks and measures the impact of our work.

 

Acting as the primary contact for internal comms for the Navigator team

  • Create and manage internal comms on behalf of the Navigator team

  • Liaise with The Dock’s Community Co-Ordinator to share relevant updates across available of channels (town hall updates, digital signage, internal sites etc.)

  • Own the relationship with our marketing team (known as the Accelerator team) and work with them to align on content strategy to support strategic priorities    

  • Own the Navigator space, and use it to engage The Dock with the Navigator and Cross-Dock story

Qualifications

Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years’ working with senior stakeholders

  • 3+ years developing creative B2B sales, marketing or business development content

  • Experience developing and building messaging and content around value propositions

  • Track record of prioritizing and reviewing deliverables against organizational goals and strategies.

  • Strong content design skills, enabling ability to translate complex information

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Experience with innovation methodologies, metrics, and analysis to assess and improve business activity and operations.

  • Experienced in the use of content management systems. 

  • Highly proficient with Powerpoint

  • Experience using the Adobe Creative Suite for basic image and video editing is desirable

  • Public speaking experience desirable

  • Ready to drive projects from inception through to delivery.
