Content Moderator – Social Media
Location: Cherrywood Business Park, South Dublin
Working Hours: Shift Based
Level: Entry Level
Contract Length: Permanent (6-Month probationary period)

Content is consistently posted/uploaded to social media every second of the day, but not all of it is appropriate. As a Content Moderator you would be tasked with the important role of reviewing content a particular user believes is not appropriate for the platform.
Children as young as 13 are prominent social media users today, thus the importance of this role in protecting social media users from potentially harmful or traumatising material cannot be understated.
If you are interested in content, social media, or simply feel a sense of responsibility to make social media a safe space for all, this would be a suitable role for you.
  • Gaining full understanding and in-depth knowledge of client policies and guidelines
  • Application of these guidelines against ‘flagged’ or ‘reported’ pieces of content to make judgement as to whether content in question is indeed inappropriate and in need of removal from the platform
  • Ensure every piece of content found to be in violation of the client’s terms of services is accurately identified and flagged for action in a timely manner, with a consistency score, meeting client expectations
  • Ensure that information security practices and standards are observed
  • Identification of potential process improvements and solutions to problems
  • Achieve target efficiency, productivity and quality targets
Required Experience
  • Fluent English – exceptional reading and writing skills
  • Strong knowledge of cultural context in the market supported (UKI)
  • Ability to work analytically within a problem-solving environment
  • Passionate about social media and a can-do approach to new processes and skills
  • Demonstrates the ability to work as part of a team adding positive attitude and business focus
  • Ability to communicate in a dynamic environment throughout all management levels
  • Ability to solve urgent matters and work under pressure
  • Reliable, proactive approach to entrusted tasks
  • Attention to detail is essential to ensure the quality of work execution
  • Able to work in multiple tools/web browser windows at one time
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office Applications
