They use their versatility and experience to design technology solutions that meet client requirements from analysis to implementation.

Job Description

The Oracle EBS upgrade Technical Specialist will work as a technical lead to install, administer and manage project environments and execute the build plan. The Application Technical Specialist's responsibilities include:

  • Guide technical team through the installation and configuration of Oracle EBS environments
  • Develop technical infrastructure design documents and manage them through the approval process
  • Work with technical resources (DBA, Linux Administrator, Network Administrator) to build and configure the production environment
  • Provide expertise to Oracle Applications DBA (11i & R12), for installation, Customization, Interfacing, System Administration, Cloning, Patching, Load Balancer Configuration, Parallel Concurrent Processing (PCP), OATM, SSL, SSO, Access Manager, Application upgrades (R12), Troubleshooting and Production Support
  • Provide expertise in High Availability (Clustering) solutions, replication technologies,  SQL tuning, backup and recovery support, installation of Oracle software and configuration, apply patches, unix shell scripting, partitioning of tables and indexes, partition maintenance, archiving of data, capacity planning, complex security architectures and have basic unix administration skills
  • Develop and implement the object migration process for the project
  • Report weekly status

Basic Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years experience in administering and maintaining Oracle EBS environments including: application and database installations, application and database upgrades, application and database patching, issue troubleshooting and resolutions
  • Minimum 1 major upgrade (from R11 to R12) for a large critical Oracle EBS application
Preferred Skill Requirements (any of the following)
  • Oracle Business Intelligence 
  • Oracle Fusion Middleware
  • Oracle Access manager
  • Oracle SOA
  • Any prior experience with Cloud platforms
  • Proven success in contributing to a team-oriented environment
  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment 
  • Desire to work in an information systems environment
  • Excellent leadership, communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
