Financial Services Consulting - Manager

Working as part of our high performing teams and directly with our clients, the successful candidate will need to apply their skills across a wide array of disciplines including business process design, organisational change and operating model transformation. In addition, our managers are responsible for leading complex projects and transformation programmes, driving execution and delivery for our clients.

 

Key Responsibilities

Helping our clients means being close to them, getting to know them and how they work, and the challenges they face. Managers spend the majority of their time working on client sites leading projects of change and delivery with our banking clients.

 

Projects vary in size and duration but you will need to manage a programme as well as the team around you, stakeholders and senior client leadership.

 

Managers are responsible for:

  • Applying your core business, technology and banking industry knowledge and experience to advise, change, transform and deliver outcomes that enable our clients to become high performing businesses
  • Being professionals who demonstrate a strong interest in how business processes work and interact
  • Applying skills in project and programme management across multiple streams of work – with a particular focus on shaping solutions and coordinating work to ensure a sensible, workable outcome
  • Alignment of change delivery across both business and IT teams to ensure successful designs, solutions or implementations
  • Managing medium sized teams (of 6 – 30 people) whilst mentoring and encouraging professional growth of members of the team
  • Actively contributing to our community and clients as practitioners, who can think logically, solve problems and engage others

 

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of Project Management experience  
    Minimum 2:1 undergraduate degree, or equivalent

Required Skills:

  • Management experience
  • Understanding team strengths, with experience coaching and developing others
  • Experience in stakeholder management and workshop facilitation
  • Experience within Financial Services industries.

Professional Skill Requirements:

  • An ability to articulate and clearly communicate complex problems and solutions in a simple and logical manner.
  • Experience understanding business challenges and explaining how our offerings and services provide value.
  • Experience identifying a client’s high-level business needs and leading the creation of detailed functional specs and other documentation, such as requirement traceability matrices, work-flow diagrams and use-cases.
  • Experience working through organizational change, developing and implementing creative solutions.
  • Well-developed analytical skills and the ability to provide clarity to complex issues and synthesize large amounts of information.
  • Insights on key methodologies, approaches and market trends in the industry.
  • Ability to prioritise and effectively manage time in a pressurised work environment
  • Self-motivating, adaptable and able to inspire and motivate others.
