The Dock is a multidisciplinary research and incubation hub, where designers, doctors, visionaries and makers are doing things that matter for people, places and robots. We are looking for a Project Lead to join our growing team.  Operating across all stages of the innovation spectrum, with a remit to build the future in real-time. What you’ll be doing
You will be part of a team that manages the extensive project portfolio within The Dock and delivers next generation methodology across a range of innovative projects. As a Project Lead you will;
  • Assist self-managing teams to coordinate resources and workload and setup the environment for innovation to happen
  • Be an all-rounder, and have the skills to present to senior client executives and external audiences, facilitate working sessions and partner with client teams to craft pioneering engagements
  • Bring your passion for improving the world through technology innovation to our team and demonstrate the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, highly collaborative work environment.
  • Create and maintain the product vision, roadmap, and backlog of work regularly throughout the project's life cycle
  • Translate the expectations and preferences of the end users into User Stories and prioritize the requirements/User Stories based on their business value and risks
  • Re-assess the value story at regular intervals and at particular trigger points during a project (e.g. change of Delivery Lead, pivot of design, lack of business engagement etc.)
  • Be involved in assessing and re-assessing the commercial viability of a project throughout the innovation lifecycle
  • Assess projects’ performance, risks, issues, impact on delivery commitments and feasibility and options to address these
  • Create and iterate business case and project agreement documents
  • Drive out the governance structure and processes and possess an awareness of standards all projects should adhere to
  • Team coordination, People & Project management
  • Planning and Resourcing of project team
  • Co-ordinate transfer activities - hand over, migration, integration
  • Ensure quality control of deliverables
  • Manage project timelines and release planning/coordination
  • Ongoing stakeholder engagement/management
Your skills and qualifications
  • Minimum 2:1 Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
  • PMP certified or similar qualification advantageous
  • Expert programme and project management skills with at 4+ years’ PM experience
  • Ability to prioritise tasks, work with schedules, manage resources while remaining focused on team goals
  • Proven ability to shape and drive a project from initiation stage to project close.
  • Track record of ability to ramp-up quickly
  • Ability to interface with and/or manage complex technical solutions
  • Experience of leading change and transformation programmes
  • Ability to lead, inspire and engage teams with experience of working with diverse teams, skillsets and business challenges
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills, and an ability to foster relationships at all levels within the organisation
  • Strong Executive Presence, ability to interact and influence at senior management and executive level
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills
  • Experience of working in a context of innovation and thought leadership
Nice to Haves:
  • Previous experience working in R&D environment or innovation space an advantage
  • Be a certified in Agile practices i.e.
    • CSM (Certified Scrum Master)
    • PSM (Professional Scrum Master)
  • Experience of adopting design thinking approaches
  • Experience of working in a large-matrix organisation such as Accenture
