We are currently building a new next generation software engineering team in Dublin. The team will be performing high-quality custom development using the latest technologies, lean agile and DevOps enabled processes, and a Cloud/Mobile/API first approach. As a Software Developer you will have strong programming background and ideally experience working with JavaScript and JavaScript based frameworks. You have a passion for creating great software and applications in an agile scrum environment.



  • Design and develop high quality software services and features, working with architects and other team members
  • Participate in, contribute to  and continuously improve Agile software development processes
  • Participate in creating architectures and designs and participating in code reviews with architects and senior developers, as a peer as well as a lead
  • Successfully work with Web and Enterprise Architectures and a variety of standards and processes and system approved design and coding standards
  • Take ownership of development area, producing well-commented code and tests
  • Generate technical documentation for each component and service developed
  • Ensures adherence with central enterprise architecture frameworks and standards
  • Provide support to end-users for production components and services
  • Work under the guidance of development managers or others to analyse, modify and implement various common business needs
  • Research, assess and adopt new technologies as required
  • Provide expertise with rapid development of prototypes and proof-of-concept systems to validate potential solutions and to mitigate development risks early in the development process
  • Assist project managers with the development of detailed estimates and work plans and ensure that projects are delivered on time and that they meet clients’ and users’ business needs
  • Demonstrate ownership of application service quality in terms of performance, usability, reliability, maintainability and extensibility
  • Conduct research, make recommendations and apply new technologies
  • Support development effort estimation
  • Identify opportunities for process and tool improvements and drive those from concept to implementation
  • Bring analytical rigour and structure and effective solutions to poorly-defined problems
  • Work collaboratively with other developers, scrum masters, product owners and technical architects
  • Perform unit, integration and automated testing before release
  • Individual and team learning and development
  • Computer Science (or similar) degree
  • Solid background in custom software development
  • Experience of JavaScript or a  JavaScript based framework
  • Ability and passion to quickly learn and implement new technologies as required
  • Ability to work in a team in a fast paced Agile Scrum environment
  • Excellent analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills coupled with a strong work ethic and attention to detail
  • Ability to work efficiently in a high energy, team oriented, and fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure with competing priorities

Nice to haves


  • Knowledge of Node.js, AngularJS, Ionic, Cordova or SQL an advantage
  • Understanding of automation testing, DevOps, test driven development, continuous integration, continuous delivery, progressive web applications or micro-services an advantage
  • Full stack understanding of web/mobile/API/database development concepts and patterns
  •  Experience with cloud technologies (such as AWS, AWS Lambda, AWS DynamoDB, MS Azure) is desirable
  • Understanding of Agile Scrum and SDLC principles
  • Experience with Visual Studio and Team Foundation Server (TFS) an advantage
  • Hands-on experience with open source software and programming languages
  •  Experience with JSON and REST or SOAP APIs
  •  Experience with security best practices and technologies such as OAuth an advantage
  •  Strong oral, written and presentation skills with all level of stakeholders
  •  Certification in Agile an advantage
