Job Description
 
The Analytics & AI team within the Dock applies leading Analytics & Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies and techniques to address significant real-world business and societal challenges.
Collaborating with our clients, designers, software engineers and business subject matter experts, we take concepts and applications on the journey from idea to reality.  The nature of these projects changes as ideas and concepts mature, ranging from research and experimentation, proofs-of-concept and the art-of-the-possible to the delivery of real-world applications and products for our clients.
 
Working on these projects you will focus on the application of analytics, data science and advanced cognitive methods to derive insights from data. You will participate in the development of new concepts and solutions, from prototyping new functionality and technologies to transferring them into products and commercial offerings.
 
Project teams are multi-disciplinary, supplementing your technical ability with industry expertise, design thinking, software engineering skills, and functional knowledge. Depending on your level of experience, your activities will spread from experimentation, design, development of applications and technology solutions, to team or project management, whilst being in regular interaction with our clients and business stakeholders.
 
You should have practical industry expertise using data to solve business problems, from either applied research, technical project delivery or product development. The areas of Customer and Marketing Analytics, Financial Services, Life Sciences, Communications, Multi-Media and High Tech are of interest but experience in equivalent domains is also welcomed.
 
You should understand the key technology trends in your domain and the related business implications.
Requirements
 
Experience
  • Strong academic qualifications in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Computational Linguistics, Artificial Intelligence or a related discipline
  • 3+ years of product development, project or project management experience
  • 3+ years of experience in statistical modeling, data mining, machine learning or unstructured data analytics
  • Hands-on experience, aptitude and proficiency in programming and design techniques (for example Python, C# / C++, Java, language processing, complex event processing, design patterns)
  • Understanding of technical architectures and current state of the market in several technology areas.
  • Proficiency in statistical and related tools and languages - R, RevR, SAS, Python or similar
  • Skills or experience in the Enterprise Artificial Intelligence domain including areas such as Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, Ontologies, Deep Learning, Video & Image Analytics, Speech Analytics, Virtual Agents
  • Experience working with large entreprise-level data sets
  • Ability to work in a global collaborative team environment, very good interpersonal skills and ability to present in front of an audience
  • Strong interest in problem solving, leading edge technology and user experience
  • Willingness to learn deep technical skills and apply them to the business of our clients
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Willingness to relocate to Dublin, Ireland.
