As a Data Scientist, within Accenture Digital, you will focus on the application of analytics, data science and advanced cognitive methods to derive insights from data.  

The areas of Fraud, Risk, Customer and Supply Chain Analytics are where we are currently growing our business. As a leading Data Scientist, you should understand the key technology trends in your domain and the related business implications.

 

Job Description

 

For our Fraud Analytics Practice, we are seeking experienced and accomplished Fraud Analytics practitioners with strong experience in predictive modelling, anomaly detection and social network analysis. The opportunity is to put your skills and experience to work, to lead projects that help organizations across the globe in identifying and overcoming the modern-day fraud epidemic. Perpetrators of fraud are becoming increasingly sophisticated and continue to quickly adapt to new prevention and detection techniques – we work with companies using dedicated offerings, assets and our expertise to provide effective and holistic counter fraud management solutions. The roles will be based within Ireland. International travel is also likely as you will be working with global companies at their sites.

 

For our Customer Analytics Practice you will be involved in the end to end solution design, from data access to insights deployment. This will involve crafting the solution for data access, cleansing and manipulation through to model development and validation. Lead the client engagement, focusing on governance, transformation, implementation of solutions and ultimately driving the delivery of business outcomes for Accenture’s clients. You will be an analytics SME, who is fluent in the tools and techniques pertinent to customer analytics.

 

For our Risk Analytics Practice you will deliver projects and regulatory initiatives such as FRTB, European and US Regulatory requirements for the top tier clients. You lead risk modelling and analytics projects that may involve model development, validation, risk strategy, model implementation, economic/regulatory capital calculation, stress testing and end-to-end delivery of risk management solutions. You will support the development of the Risk Analytics practice by driving initiatives around market research, capability development, thought capital, knowledge management, etc. and will contribute to development of Accenture Points-of-View on a variety of Risk Analytics topics.

 

For our Supply Chain Analytics Practice you will be a part of a continuously growing, diverse global team who are focused on using current and developing future cutting edge supply chain analytics tools and techniques to solve complex issues. You will work with Accenture clients to diagnose problem areas and contributing to architecting the solution. This is a growing area for the Irish Accenture business and you will have the opportunity to influence the reputation and the offerings to our national clients.

Requirements

 

Experience

We are currently growing our Digital Analytics business and are recruiting across all experience levels. The list below is an indication of the skill sets required within our Digital Analytics business and not intended for one individual to possess all skills. The one essential for all is the ability to consult intelligently on complex business solutions with our clients.  

  • Strong academic qualifications in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Artifical Intelligence or a related discipline
  • Skills or experience in the Enterprise Artificial Intelligence domain including Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, Ontologies, Deep Learning, Video & Image Analytics, Speech Analytics, Virtual Agents.
  • Proven experience in statistical modeling, machine learning, data mining and unstructured data analytics
  • Proficiency in analysis tools such as R, Python, SAS, SPSS, Matlab or Mathematica.
  • Experience working with large data sets and tools like MapReduce, Hadoop , Hive and equivalent technologies
  • Proficient skills in visualisation analytics technologies like Tableau, Qlikview
  • Prior experience within a Consulting environment will be highly advantageous
  • Experience working with large entreprise-level data sets
  • Ability to work in a global collaborative team environment, very good interpersonal skills and ability to present in front of an audience
  • Strong interest in problem solving, leading edge technology and user experience
  • Ability to work in a global collaborative team environment
  • Eligibility for a sponsored work visa and a willingness to relocate to Dublin, Ireland.
