Once you’ve reviewed the content in this section, you’re ready to complete our online application form. If you feel Accenture could be right for you, we really want to hear from you.
The selection process is designed to be quick and straightforward.
For the Analyst Consulting Group you will complete a situational judgement assessment.
For the Accenture Technology Group you will complete an online advanced technology online assessment.
A 2 hour assessment centre with group activity and skills interview.
A competence based interview with an Accenture senior leader.
Your initial interview will take place in an Assessment Centre and will last approximately two hours. Firstly there will be a 45 minute group activity with HR and some members of the University Action Team. Then there will be a 45 minute technical and competency based interview with a Manager. Your interviewer will want you to provide recent examples of skills such as communication, problem solving and initiative. In addition, he or she will want to be certain that you have researched your career options and can demonstrate your commitment to a career with Accenture.
Accenture’s dress policy is business smart
You will learn the outcome by email within 10 working days of your interview taking place. Therefore, please ensure that we have your latest email address. We would be grateful if you would only contact us during these two weeks if there is an urgent reason why you need to know the outcome earlier – for example, if you have to make a decision on another offer.
In the meantime, if you have any questions, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org
At this stage, the challenge is greater and the stakes are higher. This stage will be approximately 45 minutes and will take place at the Accenture offices.
The four key competency areas we are assessing are:
• Drive and Resilience
• Value Creation
Overcoming any initial nerves and being confident on the day can make all the difference. It will inevitably have been a few weeks since your initial interview, so re-visit our website and remind yourself who we are and what we do.
Think laterally and keep an open mind about all scenarios. Be enthusiastic and engaging throughout the interview. It makes all the difference to your interviewer if you present yourself as a motivated person. This is your final chance to make a good impression. If you have questions, please ask them, but don’t feel obliged to.
We appreciate that applying for graduate jobs takes a long time and can be difficult. So we’ve pulled together some application hints and tips to help you along the way.
During interviews, be authentic and passionate. Show why you want to work for us and what would really interest you. And don’t forget to ask questions. You need to find out if we are the right fit for you, just as much as we need to find out if you’re the right candidate for us.
Being part of the group exercises is more important than leading them. Of course, it’s always good to see leadership skills but we’re also looking at how you interact with, and support others.
Research Accenture and our competitors and try to understand what makes us stand out in the marketplace. Link any research back to why you want to work for us. Anyone can read up on the website, but we want to know about what interests you about working here. Think about what you would enjoy on a day-to-day basis about the job you are applying for.
When asked a competency based question try to use the STAR approach, i.e. break out your answer into the Situation, Task, Action taken and Result. This helps you structure your response and gives the interviewer a well-rounded answer.
Prepare a variety of competency examples so we can see that you have experiences showcasing different behaviours.
It’s a good idea to do a draft application. And make sure you’re fully prepared to discuss what you've included in your application form at the interview stage.
The Education section asks for the 'Grade' and 'Out of'. Please list your average (or predicted) grade to date in a numerical format depending on the scoring system at your higher education institution.
In this section, you should enter a brief summary of why you would like to work at Accenture in the role you have chosen to apply for. This is your opportunity to demonstrate the research you have done and to prove your understanding of Accenture, our marketplace and the role you are applying for. Avoid just paraphrasing text from the website.
The Reasonable Adjustments section is where you can provide your Visa/Work Permit status.
If you feel that you have extenuating circumstances that impacted your academic performance, please email email@example.com outlining the situation that prevented you from meeting our academic requirements and provide supporting documentation (letter from university or medical practitioner) for review.
If you encounter any difficulties, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
