FAQS - Frequently Asked Questions

Here are the most common, frequently asked questions about applying to and working at Accenture.

FAQS

When do applications close?

Applicaions open on 10th September 2018 and close on 4th November 2018

How do I apply?

We aim to move candidates quickly through our recruitment process and keep you informed at every stage. Our offers for the programme are extended before Christmas.

When will I hear back?

With both online applications and interviews, we aim to get back to people with a decision within 5 to 10 working days. If you’re invited to an assessment centre, we aim to provide you with feedback within 15 days.

If I am offered, when can I start?

The majority of our start dates are from September 2019 onwards but we may be able to offer some earlier start dates but this depends on business demand.

Can I apply to different roles and you decide what I'm suitable for?

No, please consider all the information – including the criteria in making your decision. You can only apply to one programme at any one time.

If I'm unsucessful can I reapply?

You will need to wait until the programme opens next year before reapplying. Candidates should only apply to one programme and geography at any one time.

Can I apply if I've already graduated?

Yes you can apply to our graduate programmes, as long as you meet the requirements for the specific programme you wish to apply to.

Will I know what client project will be working on?

Unfortuantely, we won't be able to tell you this until you join as it depends on business demand.

What's your policy on visa sponsorship?

Accenture’s approach to recruitment is underlined by our core value of Best People and our principle of meritocracy. In short, Accenture seeks to attract, develop and retain the best talent for our business and to foster a fair, positive and inclusive environment. If you are interested in applying for a role with Accenture, please note that Accenture is bound by applicable Irish immigration rules and obligations which place some restrictions on our recruitment for entry-level roles.

Can I get feedback?

Due to the very high volumes, we cannot give feedback to every applicant. However, we do aim to give information about our criteria throughout the process so candidates understand the range of skills we are looking for. Candidates who are unsuccessful at Assessment Centre and interview can request more detail on the Assessment Centre should they need it.

I'm not studying a STEM subject or a technical degree, can I still apply to your programmes?

Yes for certain programmes. We offer a range of programmes, each with a focus on a distinct skillset and with different academic requirements. Please visit our individual programme pages for details about our entry requirements.

What happens at an Assessment Centre?

Assessment Centres are a morning or afternoon session, held in our offices. They include an assesment using a Virtual Reality headset along with a manager interview.

I'd like to know more about the clients and projects Accenture have worked on, where can I find this information?

To find out more about what it’s like to be one of our graduate joiners, including an insight into the day-to-day role and types of projects we work on, take a look at our careers blog.

What if I don't enjoy my project?

You can always take something from every role and if it’s not what you expected, try to see it as a crucial learning opportunity. All projects and roles are important and aim to develop you into a trusted and successful professional in your area of expertise. Sometimes it’s not until later in your career, that you realise the value of each experience, when it comes in useful at an unexpected time. That being said, you should always strive to be open with your line manager, team and career counsellor, as their role is to support your learning and development at Accenture.
