We understand that we are part of a world beyond our business.
"We have a commitment to ensure our working environment in Ireland is inclusive to all, where people can be who they are and bring the best of themselves to work. In developing strong internal communities to support our work on Gender Equality, LGBT, Culture and Disabilities, employees are able to embrace their individuality.
Furthermore, our focus on community, the environment and volunteering through our Corporate Citizenship programme seeks to bring about a positive lasting change to improve the way the world works and lives. I am very proud of the efforts that go into these support initiatives and how they enrich the overall employee experience. It just shows that every person can make a difference."
Country Managing Director, Accenture Ireland

Actions speak louder
“Corporate Citizenship is central to everyone in our business, it is part of the way we work and who we are”
— Alastair Blair
At Accenture we believe that one of the most important things we can do as a business is to improve the way the worlds work and live by contributing to communities and environment in which we live and work in. There are 3 main pillars to the work we do in Corporate Citizenship – Skills to Succeed, Environmental Stewardship and our volunteering programme, Making a Difference.
Through our Skills to Succeed programme we aim to help vulnerable and marginalised groups in Ireland to build the skills they need to access lasting and meaningful employment or to build a business. Through our programme of work we aim to supporting the creation of jobs, improving job skills and employability, and contributeing to the economic success of this country by creating a more equal and inclusive society.
Accenture’s environmental strategy is focused on fostering sustainable economic growth for our company and clients. Through more efficient and intelligent digital technologies – and by encouraging the ingenuity of our people as they embrace new ways of working – we will achieve our environmental goals for 2020 and do our part to ensure a brighter future for our planet.
A decade into our quest to lesson our environmental impact, thinking – and acting – green is part of daily life at Accenture. We are helping to accelerate the shift to a low-carbon economy and to lessen the affects of climate change.
- 52% reduction in per employee carbon emissions on 2007 baseline – achieving 2020 goal of 50% ahead of schedule.
- 4% approximate reduction in air travel carbon emissions per employee from fiscal 2016
- 76% of our key suppliers disclosed emissions reductions actions and 72% disclosed targets
Making A Difference is how Corporate Citizenship enables our people to invest their time and resources to improve the way the world works and lives. In Ireland, all full time employees are given 2 paid volunteering days each fiscal year. We have responded to our people’s desire to see and feel personal impact so they can use these days to give back to causes that deliver a positive social and / or environmental impact.
