One piece of advice that you’d give to your ten-year-old self: Don’t be so hard on yourself!

The person that most inspires you: My mam, she has amazing resilience and a great attitude towards life

Salma

Area of expertise: IoT and Software Engineering

Passionate about: Cooking

One piece of advice that you’d give to your ten-year-old self: Believe in yourself and follow your dreams. Don’t let anybody tell you “you can’t”

The person that most inspires you: Michelle Obama

Meet Mina

Mina

Area of expertise: Analytics and artificial intelligence

Passionate about: Swimming, especially with my two-year-old son when we swim faster than baby shark (his cartoon character)

One piece of advice that you’d give to your ten-year-old self: Don’t let other’s opinions and judgements hold you back

The person that most inspires you: My mom for her positive thinking, my baby who inspires me to enjoy the simplest thing in life. My most inspirational public figure is Sheryl Sandberg.

If you could have one piece of music play as the soundtrack to your life it would be: A song from Leonard Cohen, maybe “Dance Me to the End of Love”

Nur

Area of expertise: Service and Interaction design, Design Research, Design Thinking, Living Services

Passionate about: Design that delivers impact especially for our society and for people who most need it

One piece of advice that you’d give to your ten-year-old self: Don’t worry, just play

The person that most inspires you: Many non-famous people inspire me but mostly my dad

If you could have one piece of music play as the soundtrack to your life it would be: Beethoven's 9th symphony
