Meet our People: Rosaliina Auhala

While reviewing cases I also ensure that all guidelines and policies are taken into account. Along with the basics of my role I am constantly learning about the work methods that should be used, the different kinds of cases and how to act on them. An important part of my work is working as a team, we as constantly have team conversations about the various cases and methods we're working on.
I have been working for Accenture for four months, most of it from home. I have not been assigned to a project yet but I want to mention just how excited I was when I started, and how well Accenture had organised the first week for new joiners. It was like a project to get to know all the people and to discover your part in a new team and a new company. I was very excited in my first week when I was asked to give a short “useless piece of information” in our daily huddle and I got the chance to show a little bit about myself.
After my training, I worked in the office for just one week before WFH (work from home) started. At the beginning it was a bit hard for me to have the team support changed all of a sudden to working through computers. This way of working means you have to put more effort into your own thinking and understanding, and also to find the best way to explain and express yourself to others virtually.
My work day-in-the-life consists mostly of working independently on the computer and having the team chat open all the time to make sure that we all share different insights and experiences to arrive at the best conclusions together. Everyday our team has at least one huddle, like back in the office only this time virtually of course! Our huddle times are the highlight of my workday. We join the video call, listen to the news for the day and, most importantly, we socialise. The day-to-day schedule is quite similar every day, I do my job and help others but very often there are more meetings or training to do. My work is constantly improving and I like that.
I soon realised when I started in this company how much social engagement Accenture has
I soon realised when I started in this company how much social engagement Accenture has, and it made me even more excited about my new job. For me, socialising and gathering together is very important, and I like how Accenture puts lots of effort into delivering those things. In this company you have opportunities to learn the important skills you need, not only in this job but in different areas and industries in life. In Accenture I feel like it does not matter who you are, if you are improving yourself and raising awareness you will have access to opportunities.
I am very social person and I get my energy by hanging out with friends and getting to know new people. My biggest passion is dancing and acting which I have been practicing basically my whole life. My dream is to keep traveling and planning trips around the world.
I would advise someone interested in this work that it is computer-based work - it is important to remember to take care of your body especially if spending lots of time at the computer is something you are not used to. Being open minded, interested and ready to learn is good in this job. No matter what, you will feel welcomed.
