Tell me about the work you do. 

Aurore NzafioI work in Accenture Operations for a client which is a large social media company. On a daily basis, I interact with users experiencing payment issues on a specific product. My mission is to provide them with support and help them resolve the problem they are experiencing. It involves having a strong ability to analyze, understand and solve their problem.
We support a large variety of languages and, as my mother tongue is French, I often deal with users from French speaking countries. Our objective is to provide the best customer experience possible, and my role is to ensure each customer leaves our support exchange with a high level of satisfaction.

What’s the most exciting project you’ve worked on and what made it so exciting?

The most exciting project I had the opportunity to work on was an internal communication project on Pride for our Sandyford site in Dublin. We organized two internal communication projects for both Lesbian Visibility Day and the IDAHOT (International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia). I loved being part of projects that delivered strong messages of awareness, open-mindedness and tolerance. Being able to have a positive impact on people’s perception of things is something very exciting.

What’s a day-in-the-life like at Accenture? 

I have an amazing team! My team is made up of people from different countries and it brings a lovely international dimension to most of our interactions. This international environment and community spirit is also reflected in the other teams we interact with. If another team receives a request or encounters an issue related to my product, they know they can come to me for confirmation or support and I can do the same.

What do you like the most about working at Accenture?

People make the difference to me. At Accenture we enjoy such an international ecosystem that it brings another aspect to our work life - it has given me the opportunity to strengthen my ability to adapt to and be aware of cultural differences. I also strongly appreciate working for the client. I feel really proud to be part of a company that gives its best to clients here in Accenture Operations.

What do you do in your spare time?

MUSIC!! I’m a jazz, blues, Brazilian music and traditional Cap Verdian singer. It’s a huge part of my life and I always try to find as much time as I can to work on those projects. I also love cooking and baking (I'm not very good at it though, haha). I'm also working on writing a book, so I do lots of creative writing.

What advice would you give to someone interested in the work you do?

I think a desire to grow and learn is essential. You need to make your voice heard and not be afraid to express your willingness to grow and evolve.
