Within Accenture, we are the technology specialists on the ground who focus on application development, solutions delivery and software maintenance. Our role is to implement innovative technology solutions to meet the needs of Accenture’s clients and enable them to become high-performance businesses.

Upon joining the Accenture Technology Group, you will be part of a team of IT specialists working in client-facing roles in many of the world's best-known companies, household names at the front of their field in virtually every industry.

We’re helping clients to implement previously unimaginable concepts, often using leading-edge technologies on projects that are pushing the boundaries of what is technically possible. And, because Accenture has over 150 strategic alliances, with both emerging market innovators and established market leaders like Microsoft, Siebel, SAP and Oracle, our software engineers are given access to projects developing new solutions, processes and technologies that are way beyond the reach of any single enterprise.

As part of our Analytics group, you will have the opportunity to work as part of a rapidly growing and dynamic global analytics team, driving significant business growth.

Graduate Profile

Candidates for the Analytics Innovation Centre should come from a strong quantitative background/degree. This includes courses such as Maths, Statistics, Engineering, Physics, Computer Science and Econometrics.

Candidates should display the following personal characteristics:

  • Flexibility and willingness to learn in an extremely dynamic environment

  • Clear and articulate communication style

  • Critical thinking and problem solving abilities

Join our award-winning Internship programme

Find out what internships in Accenture are like

In 2015, we won Best Internship at the gradireland awards.

The best way to find out what it’s like to work at Accenture is to try it out. We have a range of placement durations between three and twelve months. You’ll get to know us, while developing your skills and knowledge on live projects, experiencing real challenges and making new friends and connections.

Our internship programmes are open to third level students in their penultimate year of study. If you're interested in joining a vibrant and talented workforce in a Consulting industry global leader, then Accenture is the place for you.

You will challenge yourself, build a network and create a career path. We will provide you training opportunities, valuable experience in real client facing roles, professional development opportunities (and make sure that you have a lot of fun along the way too!).

We offer three, five, six, seven and twelve month internships. We are looking for students from all backgrounds, who have an interest in Consulting or Technology.

With the exception of our three month summer internship (which you can apply for online), all other Accenture Ireland placements are applied for through your careers office. Applications for our summer internship are now open until the 29th of February 2016. Students can apply by sending your CV and Cover Letter to To be eligible you must be in the penultimate year of your undergraduate degree , have a minimum of 400 CAO points and be on course for a 2.1 in your degree.

Accenture Leaders of Tomorrow Award

Could you be a Leader of Tomorrow?

Open to high performing third level students across the country, participants in the Accenture Leaders of Tomorrow Award have the chance to submit a business idea which will be coached and developed with a view to realising a viable business concept.

If you would like the opportunity to expand your Leadership and Entrepreneurial talents, then why not enter Accenture’s annual Leaders of Tomorrow Award? This competition runs during the academic year and includes inspirational, entrepreneurial speakers and the opportunity to develop and present your business idea to a highly prestigious panel.

Successful applicants will take part in a series of leadership development days focusing on the connected themes of Entrepreneurship, Leadership and Innovation. The competition will include professional development opportunities, guest speakers and one-to one business mentoring. The final round will involve presenting your idea to a panel of Irish business leaders.

The overall winners will received a place on the NDRC LaunchPad programme, where they will have the opportunity to turn their business concept into their future. The winners will also receive a trip to one of Accenture’s global innovation centres and will have the option of an internship with Accenture as well.

Applicants will retain all intellectual property rights to ideas submitted.

The Leaders of Tomorrow Award is open to all third-level students in Ireland. Applications for the 2016 Award are open until 2nd December 2015.

New Joiner Orientation and Integration experience

The New Joiner Orientation and Integration activities provides all new Accenture employees with a comprehensive understanding of the business we operate in, our culture and core values, and our commitment to the individuals who belong to our company.

Over the course of the programme you will be guided on how to grow your career, and how to make the best use of the many tools and resources available. You will also receive key information on areas such as benefits, performance management, important employee policies & procedures, and the clubs & societies that you can join at Accenture.

The New Joiner Orientation and Integration programme is designed to help you network and form relationships with your future colleagues. In fact, almost everyone says that this was just as much about networking and making friends as it was about pure learning. After your first week of orientation, you will be equipped with the foundational skills and knowledge which you need to start building your career at Accenture.

The Orientation and Integration process continues throughout your first year at Accenture and you will be sent regular tips and useful links to help you understand Accenture’s Best Practices, and settle in to our community.

Start group

When you join Accenture as a graduate you’ll be part of a start group. You'll join at the same time as a number of other people and you’ll go through the initial training and induction together. The induction has been developed to help you settle into Accenture, find out how everything works and meet people in the same position as you so you can start building your network.

Software Engineering Programme
On joining Accenture, your new life as a software engineer begins with your induction training in the Dublin office in Grand Canal Square. Your induction will provide you with a greater understanding and appreciation of what Accenture does and learn everything there is to know about the workings of the company; from its diverse workforces to its key policies.

The SEP training programme combines on-the-job experience with a combination of in-house and external courses. This training carries on throughout your career as an Accenture employee. In the early years, your training will be more technically focused and you will receive all the encouragement and support you need to achieve certification in your chosen area - be that Java, .NET, Testing or other technologies. Along the way, you will also develop skills in methodologies that will enable you to work efficiently in a global organisation. Your technical skills will also be complemented with a series of personal development training courses (such as business writing, presentation skills and time management). In the later years, your training will assist your progression to more senior roles where you will develop as a specialist in your chosen path. Your training needs are continually assessed so we can ensure we have the best qualified people to deliver successful projects for our clients.

Our training curriculum is supported by our Capability Expert groups - a hub of senior experienced technology experts who provide advice on technology trends as well as training courses in areas such as Application Management, Testing, Microsoft technologies, Java, SAP, Business Intelligence, Legacy Systems and Agile methodologies.

The Accenture Experience provides you with a real life insight into life at Accenture. What Happens Next?

The selection process is designed to be quick and straightforward. It starts with a 45-minute face-to-face interview with a Manager from the business. The questions we might ask you at this stage will cover career focus, interest in IT and business, and competency-based questions.

If you pass the first interview you will be invited to the final round which will take place in Dublin. The second round will consist of an assessment carried out by a HR representative and then an interview with a Managing Director.

The assessment is a chance for you to learn more about us and to meet some of the people who work here.

First Interview

What can I expect?

Your initial interview will last approximately 45 minutes and will be carried out in one of our Dublin offices. You will be interviewed by a manager and the interview will focus mainly on the information contained in your application form. Your interviewer will want to find out more about you as a person, your life at university and your work experience. You will also be asked about your career ambitions and your interest in IT and business.

Your interviewer will want you to provide recent examples of skills such as communication, problem solving and initiative. In addition, he or she will want to be certain that you have researched your career options and can demonstrate your commitment to a career with Accenture.

You will learn the outcome by email within 10 working days of your interview taking place. Therefore, please ensure that we have your latest email address. Your Second Interview

Congratulations on reaching the final round! At this stage, the challenge is greater and the stakes are higher. This stage lasts approximately three hours and will take place on campus or at the Accenture offices.

How can I best prepare?

Overcoming any initial nerves and being confident on the day can make all the difference.
