Accenture helps Software & Platforms clients navigate and fuel unprecedented industry hypergrowth while improving digital experiences and business performance.
A new industry sector is emerging. Defined by common characteristics, goals, and challenges, these are the digital-natives, the technology giants that have helped create the world in which we work, play, and live every day. We rely on them for everything from collaborating with colleagues across the world, to sharing photos in an instant or finding leading price merchandise that you want delivered. Tomorrow.
The competition to be everything to all is increasing, and the challenges these companies face mean survival or failure:
Managing the hypergrowth: Accenture analysis projects the 225 largest Software & Platforms companies will experience 14% growth annually through 2020–three to four times the growth rate of most other industries. It’s good news that’s fraught with unique challenges.
Global reach: Expansion into global markets requires careful strategy coordinating suppliers, local workforce, platforms, and localized marketing. And that’s just a scratch in the surface.
Service Complexity: This is the fun stuff. The unique service differentiators, new offerings, and delivery mechanisms and digital experiences that will separate the players that are here to stay from those who can’t keep up.
And let’s not forget the small start-ups and niche players nipping at the heels of these tech giants for a share of the market.
Accenture helps Software & Platforms companies:
Differentiate with innovative digital customer experiences applying our knowledge of emerging technologies and market strategy.
Accelerate exponential growth of users and support, solving for labor intensity and rapid deployment of new concepts.
Reach Scale and ramp up capabilities by identifying trapped value, global products and services, or adjacent market potential.
