In this video, listen to senior government officials attending the High-Level Roundtable on Employment and Skills give their views on key challenges they are facing to improve efficiency in the labour markets and enhance competitiveness through continuous education and training.
In February 2013, the European Centre for Government Transformation held a High-Level Roundtable on Employment and Skills under the theme “Improving Efficiency in Labour Markets.” In this video, top civil servants and senior government executives from several European countries discuss the possibilities and the challenges they are facing to foster inclusive labour markets and improve skills policies.
The executives—from Germany, European Commission and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD)—set the scene and provide an overview of Europe’s common challenges in employment and skills. They present the challenges their agencies and countries are facing to improve efficiency in the labour markets and they also share what they believe to be key takeaways from this roundtable.
