The Global Change Award is one of the world’s biggest challenges for early stage innovation and the first initiative of its kind in the fashion industry.
It was created by the H&M Foundation with the goal of identifying game changing ideas that can take fashion from linear to circular—and help protect our planet.
The five winners share a €1 million grant and get access to a one-year innovation accelerator provided by the H&M Foundation, Accenture and the KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm.
Accenture is proud to be involved in one of fashion’s most ground breaking initiatives and to contribute to a sustainable future.
As part of the accelerator program, Accenture provides the winners of the Global Change Award with leading expertise on the circular economy, innovation and business development. The program also consists of a visit to the Accenture Customer Innovation Network (ACIN) in Milan, which gives the winners access to a cutting-edge innovation center and insights into future digital customer experiences.
Our Accenture teams also offer additional coaching and insights into the future of fashion and retail. We tie retail and customer experience to the circular economy, production and business strategy.
With this solid foundation, these start-ups will have the knowledge and skills to scale and develop their ideas and truly make an impact in the fashion industry.
As part of our collaboration with the H&M Foundation and the Global Change Award, Accenture developed a report on the future of sustainable fashion by looking at disruptive ideas from 130 different countries.
The report includes findings and trends in circular fashion and open innovation, based on analytics performed on the close to 3000 applications submitted for the Global Change Award in 2016.
