I start my day with some coffee and spend the first hour or so going through my e-mails, organizing my tasks in order of priority and engaging with my colleagues regarding project concerns.
Then, I spend the rest of the day in meetings. If I’m meeting with clients, the agenda is either to understand their pain points better or to discuss our proposed solution for them. If I’m meeting with our internal team, we discuss how to adapt our end-to-end process design to the business requirements of our clients, from the high-level view down to the detailed operational stage.
At the day’s end, I finish the remaining tasks on my list, create a to-do list for the next day and update the documentation for current projects. Every so often, we squeeze in a quick stand-up team meeting to chat about issues or potential obstacles to our deliverables.
The most exciting project I’ve handled so far was for a transportation and logistics multinational conglomerate. We built a Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process and inventory for the four lines of businesses they had: logistics, transportation, preowned cars and car auction. This amounted to 13 strategic business units (SBUs), each with their own process flows—including automotive unit procurement, financials and auction processes.
What was so thrilling about this project was that despite its magnitude and complexity, we implemented the solution successfully and on time. We’re happy and humbled to learn that this client has found a significant increase in efficiency ever since going live.
I work with a team of specialists who come from varying academic disciplines and ethnicities. We uphold a collaborative working environment and treat the ideas of all team members with equal importance. We manage our schedules and integrate our deadlines so that we can make time to bond as a team by going out to dinner or a movie together.
I’m currently developing my SAP skills, specifically in P2P. At Accenture, I broaden my technical and business expertise both through the extensive SAP training courses offered and through my exposure to the products and client situations in my projects.
What I like the most about Accenture is that, despite its position as a global leader in a fast-paced industry, it cultivates a warm, supportive atmosphere that encourages us employees to constantly challenge ourselves and grow.
To balance out my busy weekday schedule, I spend my weekends and time off doing beauty makeovers of myself, family or friends. I love trying out new beauty products and writing reviews on my personal blog. I also like to sing or go to the cinema to catch the latest releases.
