My days here at Accenture revolve largely around our clients. All our efforts are focused on delivering services that create happy clients. To achieve that, we tap into the global resources available at Accenture and collaborate with teams and talent across the seven continents to produce solutions that support our clients’ goals.
The most exciting project I’ve had to date was helping one of the world’s largest tech clients penetrate the small to medium business (SMB) sector in Indonesia. The experience was thrilling not only because the resulting program we helped build and run was integral to the client’s key global program, but also because we were collaborating with one of the world’s best tech brands.
My teammates each come from several distinct professional backgrounds. One is from aviation, another works in telecommunications and yet another one specializes in fast-moving consumer goods. When it comes to ethnicity and country of origin, this diversity becomes even more pronounced.
Differences notwithstanding, our work ethics are well-integrated. We’re quite flexible as deliverables at any given time depend on both client and internal team priorities. We keep our communication open and respectful, and we encourage each other to contribute ideas, challenge norms and ask questions.
On top of my commitment to mastering client account leadership, I’m also constantly broadening my knowledge of Accenture services offerings, business and financial management, communications as well as client management. Accenture provides self-learning, online and live account leadership classes.
What I like most about working here is the unique opportunity to experience different types of projects, one after another. I think this is what keeps me excited and engaged, even after all these years.
Because my weekdays are full of activity, I maximize my rest days whenever I can. On weekends and holidays, I rest and take care of my family, enjoy coffee with friends and go on motorbike tours of the countryside.
