What will be your responsibility:

 

As a Medior Databricks Engineer, you’ll encounter new challenges that will significantly contribute to your personal growth and career development. At our clients you’ll work with cutting-edge technologies, and sometimes due to technology limitations, we need smart people to figure out new ways and think outside the box. You'll be responsible for developing and maintaining robust pipelines, applying monitoring solutions including alerting, and constantly seeking possibilities to improve or fine-tune the pipelines. Possessing this knowledge and meeting these requirements for each project will position you as a key contributor.

 

You will also:

       Implement new features using PySpark or Scala.

       Optimize and troubleshoot performance issues in data pipelines.

       Ensure data quality and integrity through robust testing and validation processes.

       Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.

       Document data workflows, processes, and best practices.

       Responsible for proactively identifying opportunities and taking ownership of various features.

       Support junior and other medior team members and contribute to team knowledge sharing.

Qualifications

What we are looking for:

 

       Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

       3+ years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on Databricks or similar platforms.

o   Alternatively, Certified Data Engineer Associate

o   Limited experience? We encourage you to demonstrate your skills in our technical interview.

       Proficiency in SQL and one or more programming languages (Python, Scala).

       2+ years of experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

       Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) and DevOps practices for any cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

       Strong understanding of data warehousing, ETL processes, and big data technologies.

       Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.

 

Nice to have:

 

       Databricks certification or equivalent experience.

       Experience with streaming data processing (e.g., Apache Kafka).

       Knowledge of data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).

       Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
