What I Do

I have been a member of Accenture Technology Growth Platform deployed to Financial Services industry for 4 years with experience in IT Consulting and Systems Integration projects in major Financial Institutions.

My main focus resides in Banking with major concentration in Loans and Collection and I am certified as Banking Industry Generalist by Accenture. Recently I have been involved into migration projects within a Global Payment Processing firm with active participation in all stages of the project delivery lifecycle (analysis, functional design to implementation and testing).

I am always open to new challenges, ready to dig in and active contribute to solve complex problems for our clients delivering them the added value that they seek.

Day in my Life

Since most of the typical roles in Accenture involve working at client’s premises, I typically spend my time at client’s offices work with my Accenture teammates and the client to resolve any issues that arise. That actually means, collect requirements, write designs, perform the testing and of course deliver to the client.

A typical day at the client site also involves a combination of meetings and working sessions that are focused on project related deliverables. Examples include meetings with my direct team, my client counterparts, and project leadership to discuss status and other cross-team related topics. I usually find time later in the evening to catch up on email and other work related issues.

Outside the Office

Outside the office, my passion is basketball coaching. During the last 8 years I have been the Head coach of Ampelokipoi B.C. for several youth teams (U15, U18, U20) and during the last 3 years I have been the head coach of Men’s team. I find coaching as the best way to decompress from everyday life, and as a very good way to improve specific soft skills such as communication, time management, decision making and leadership as basketball team is an ideal simulation of work teams. During the last year I have also the honor to be Accenture Greece head coach working with all team players to transfer to the court what we do in our professional life – Deliver High Performance!

My Advice

In Accenture, the big challenge is that you never know the next day where and in which project you will be working - but this is what makes our job extremely interesting.

In addition in Accenture, you will work with many successful leaders--make sure you learn all you can from each one, so you can develop your own values, and this is why you should always be open to new challenges and opportunities.
