Service Management Manager
"The only thing certain to lead to true digital transformation, is agility and innovation."
In my tenure as an IT Service Delivery Manager, overseeing the internal IT for Greece, Bulgaria and Hungary, I am responsible for teams on point for the delivery and support of IT services to Accenture employees. I also direct the training agenda of our employees to new IT services, stewarding them to become the Digital Workers of the future.

During these turbulent times, remote work has proven to be a great breakthrough and not a barrier as to the way we operate as Accenture employees. Today more than ever before, we get to leverage the use of new technologies in order to communicate, collaborate and be virtually present, simulating this way, the actual office pace. The friendly rapport is still very much present, spanning from our fellow coworkers to our local leaders who are consistently available to offer their support, mentorship and guidance. It is notable that Accenture has turned a pandemic, to a floor for all of us to showcase skills, achieve high performance and career growth, yet with the issue of mental health remaining at the epicenter of its focus and attention.
One of the facets of my role, that I love the most, is having access to cutting-edge technology and lead and mentor cross-functional teams in multifacility environments. It is a unique privilege to get to see first-hand, what the services of the future will be. I may start my day using 3D printing to prototype solutions and end up configuring/programming drones. As Accenture employees, we are kept relevant at all times. Not only do we get the chance to be introduced with new technologies, but also enjoy the unique opportunity to engage in experiences that tangibly include them and allow us to live, learn and ultimately, introduce them further to our clientele.
In Accenture we celebrate work-life balance as we are always urged to pursue time for ourselves to disconnect and enjoy personal time. During my day, I enjoy spending time with my family and experiment with the most amazing recipes in the world. This is to say that I love cooking and I’m actually an infamous Italian Pizza maker with a MSc in Barbeque.
The type of projects, I find to be the most fascinating are those that relate to Real Estate as I am being presented with an opportunity to leverage skills that include the design, planning and delivery of IT infrastructure and services to new offices or offices coming from Ventures & Acquisitions. My most memorable project would have to be the set up of our new office in the Middle East – a country where Accenture had zero presence up until then. Setting up our ME office was a journey of knowledge and a true yet constructive challenge, as I had to understand the local culture, identify local processes, that were altogether new to me, so as to ultimately set the floor to deliver Accenture IT services.

Working within the IT Service Delivery, does not translate to someone hiding in a server room deploying high tech services. The factual side of it is about User Experience. We get to deploy technology to turn our employees to independent and highly productive agents, who will, in turn, adopt the InTheNew mindset, to introduce it to our clients becoming the best ambassadors for Accenture.
