What I do

I am a member of the HR department of Accenture Greece, having been exposed to almost all HR functions within the last 10 years (i.e. performance management, employee benefits, policies, events’ management, engagement projects, ad hoc local or global projects etc.). My key responsibilities are the following:

Recruitment: As the Head of Talent Acquisition, my main goal is to work closely with HR business partners to understand the company objectives and develop plans and strategies that can improve the recruitment process and attract top talent and diverse candidates across all levels of Accenture.

Scheduling: One of the greatest opportunities our company offers, is diversity and the ability to be exposed to different industries with various technologies and projects. One could say that in my role as a scheduler, I am the facilitator of this, which means that I am monitoring the assignments and skillset of our people and I am managing their potential role changes and rotations.

Career counseling: This is one of the greatest initiatives Accenture has implemented in order to drive progress and ambition. I am highly involved in career counseling by facilitating the process of advice-giving and coaching provided by career counselors to our employees. This helps our staff manage their journey through learning and role changes.

Project management: As an HR Business Partner, I am working closely with all Business Units to plan, execute and control a variety of projects to achieve specific goals and meet specific success criteria (i.e. new office launch, Inclusion & Diversity, Engagement, etc.).

A day in my life

Each day varies drastically, which is part of the appeal for working at Accenture.

My time is mainly divided in managing key projects, joining team meetings and discussing the progress of our initiatives with different teams. I often attend workshops, career days and events representing our brand and showcasing our core values and culture. I also invest my time in training, where I can either attend a training session for my professional development or deliver a training course internally to provide counseling and mentoring to graduates.

Best People People are what makes us want to stay in an organization. I find my colleagues inspiring, smart, self-motivated people who are continuously interested in adding value in everything they work on and are willing to provide support anytime. These high standards are across the organization and define the way we communicate and interact with each other.

Respect to Individual Our culture is based on behaviors that encourage respect through teamwork, inclusion, support and care. Projects should be delivered; however, this does not mean that it will happen at any expense. Any colleague, irrespectively of expertise and career level will have access to equal opportunities to grow.

Global Network Working in Accenture Greece means working in an organization of more than 500.000 people all over the world, with international standards and access to best practices, methodologies and concepts that lead the workplace in the New globally.

The most exciting project I have worked on, was the Performance Achievement project, which was introduced as a new approach to manage employee performance in 2016 and it was so innovative and disruptive that needed our full attention and focus in order to be implemented. What made it so exciting was not only the practical element of it, but also the positive impact it had to our brand. We had been asked to find a new approach for our performance appraisal model and tool and create a new mindset and new habits. This new approach was very well-received from the employees and improved the internal processes of recognition and appraisal.

I am very proud to be part of a company that focuses on the personal journey of each employee and is trying to be relevant and corresponding to their personal needs.

"The things I like most about working at Accenture are the people, the respect to the individual and the global network."

My advice
