This telecommunications provider in the Netherlands wanted to position itself in the rapidly expanding and highly competitive Internet protocol services market. To do so, it needed to build and maintain higher-bandwidth networks while upgrading its systems to support the new technologies. At the same time, it wanted to stay focused on existing customers using traditional technologies. Executives decided to outsource several processes in their existing service portfolio, so it could manage costs more tightly and deploy its own skilled professionals in high-impact areas.
Accenture took over responsibility for all order intake, order processing and engineering activities and transitioned customer delivery and international synchronous digital hierarchy engineering to our Delivery Center in Manila.
Moving legacy business processes offshore, Accenture handled order processing for legacy voice services, and managed resolution of orders from clients using multiple services provided by the European Telco that could not be provisioned automatically. Accenture connected these clients as required.
Accenture's service to provisioning and service assurance in the NextGen domain was extended, e.g. IP configuration with certified engineers and service assurance on MultiPlay services.
