Michael Costonis is Accenture’s Global Insurance Lead. He manages the Insurance Practice across P&C and Life, helping clients chart a course through digital disruption and capitalize on the opportunities of a rapidly changing marketplace. With over 25 years of experience in insurance, Michael has helped shape the future for some of the world’s most successful companies: developing strategies, managing technology transformations and navigating business process change. In his career with Accenture, he has worked with more than 50 leading insurers in 18 countries. Michael is a sought-after public speaker and author of numerous articles in leading insurance publications. He has been quoted in The New York Times, Bloomberg News, Financial Times, Forbes, Best’s Review, Insurance & Technology and more. Michael received a bachelor’s degree in political science from Swarthmore College. He is based in Philadelphia.
Mr. Cusano joined Accenture in 1988 and has held a number of leadership roles in Accenture’s insurance industry practice. He led Accenture’s North America Insurance Client Service Group, the Global Insurance Industry Program and, Accenture’s Insurance Software Solution Group. He has overseen a number of large client relationships and the execution of projects ranging from strategic consulting to multi-year global programs to transform company operations. John chairs Junior Achievement of New Jersey’s North Board of Directors. He received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Virginia and a Masters of Business Administration from New York University’s Stern School of Business.

Michael Lyman is managing director for Insurance within Accenture Strategy. His role focuses on business strategy development and implementation. He also serves as executive sponsor for the Accenture Chief Operating Officer Network, as a member of the Accenture Insurance Advisory Board, and as a member of the Accenture Strategy Leadership Team.
Mr. Lyman has more than 30 years of experience working with C-suite executives on major disruptive trends and transformational issues. During that time, he has led several industry research projects and has acted as a commentator on trends transforming the industry.
Prior to joining Accenture Mr. Lyman served as executive vice president at BearingPoint. He held several leadership positions including: global lead Management Consulting, global lead Financial Services; global lead Healthcare, chief strategy officer, chair of executive Institute for Research and Innovation and member of the firm's Executive Committee.
Mr. Lyman has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Illinois and a Master of Business Administration from Northwestern University, Kellogg School of Management. He is based in Chicago, United States.
Michelle Krause is a managing director of Accenture and leader of the firm’s North America Insurance Client Service Group, with management responsibility for the Claims, Policy, Distribution and Finance & Risk consulting areas. She is a senior leader responsible for helping insurers develop, manage and deploy large scale technology systems, business processes and strategies. In her career with Accenture, which spans almost 20 years, Krause has worked with many of the top insurance carriers in the industry, assisting them in their efforts to become high-performance businesses. Her expertise lies in insurance processes, product and policy management, claims management and underwriting, focused primarily on the areas of financial services insurance, and property and casualty insurance. As Client Service Group leader, Krause and her teams develop strategies to help insurers address capacity and infrastructure constraints, streamline and standardize processes, and develop custom-built policy administration platforms.
Naoyuki Shibata is Accenture’s Global Insurance Lead. He manages the Insurance Practice across P&C and Life, helping clients chart a course through digital disruption and capitalize on the opportunities of a rapidly changing marketplace. Shibata-san joined Accenture in 1993 and has worked with our clients in the insurance industry for 20 years. He has deep experience in all facets of the industry, having led major transformation projects for both life and non-life insurance companies in Japan and for multinational insurers. He has experience in a wide range of activities including business operation strategy development, information system planning, implementation and deployment. Shibata-san also leads Accenture’s AAPAC Insurance practice.
