Shannon Cozzolino is a Managing Director in Accenture’s UK Health team and believes in technology’s vital importance to greater healthcare sustainability.
When collaborating with a client to dismantle problems, launch digital platforms and stimulate innovation, it’s vital to remember that no two solutions are ever the same. “At Accenture we help a broad spectrum of healthcare clients,” says Shannon. “When the client’s needs change, we adapt, adjust and incorporate fresh, innovative thinking into new solutions.”
Shannon first joined Accenture as a consultant to the government sector. Born and raised in Florida, where she also earned a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Florida State University, Shannon was attracted to Accenture after meeting a recruiter and learning of our diverse, high-paced technology-driven business.
After working with clients in Washington, D.C. for four years, Shannon moved to Canberra, Australia to consult to government, and later relocated to central London where, having spent most of her 20-year career in government, she transitioned to Accenture’s Health practice.
Shannon serves as a client account lead and adds value by bringing together various Accenture teams (strategy, consulting and technology) to meet client needs. The client relationship skills she learned in the government sector prepared her well for her healthcare role. Shannon’s strategy and technology expertise make her a vital contributor to client healthcare solutions.
She relishes the new challenges brought by every project. These range from operational challenges to data analytics and restructuring business models for sustainability. Shannon has a strong understanding of the unique dynamics of the UK health market—including the roles of central, regional and local bodies. Taking into account the nuances of patient relationship and data management, she leverages multinational Accenture expertise to craft solutions that best fit the client’s business needs and deliver value.
“I am deliberate and purposeful when identifying the right team. At the end of the day, we are a business of people and when you get the right combination, it’s magic.”
Outside of work, Shannon loves spending time with her husband Giovanni, two young children Lucy and Valentina, and Illy the family’s English bulldog. Favourite family activities include going to the park, watching Luca play football and Valentina do ballet. Both children (and Illy) have made guest appearances on several video conferencing calls.
