We’re pleased to bring you Girls in STEM, an Accenture initiative to help girls get interested in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths. It started in 2015 with 300 people in Newcastle, then expanded nationally to Newcastle, London, Manchester, Edinburgh and Dublin, attracting about 1500 girls in 2016. In 2017, it went international with more than 2000 girls attending across various events and on livestream.
We’re now thrilled to provide a variety of activities and resources for girls looking to learn more and for teachers/parents/guardians who want to help promote STEM as subject choices and see what a career in STEM may be about. Today, skills in these areas can lead to careers in every field, as the level of disruption across all industries in technology and science advances so quickly. It’s important for us all to see that a STEM career can change the world, so help us inspire, motivate and celebrate these exciting possibilities.
