Sara Ford is a Managing Director for Accenture's Healthcare Consulting work in the UK. Sara has worked throughout her extensive Accenture career with many global private sector clients, in areas such as Consumer Goods, Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices, Resources and Technology. She supports C-suite executives to help them define strategy, and also brings practical insight into day to day operational challenges, supporting industry leaders as they find an optimum balance.
With present consulting skills focussed on Health Strategy and Business Transformation, Sara is also a thought leader in the field, with publications such as "Time for Healthcare Inventory Tracking to Gear Up" and "How can implementing GS1 standards improve patient health and save money?" setting the standard for insights into the present and future practices of the healthcare industry.
Sara joined Accenture following her studies in Business Economics, Econometrics and Quantitative Economics at the University of Durham, and is now based in London, where she oversees aspects of Accenture's UK business. She combines her Accenture career with motherhood to two children and leads several diversity initiatives for the Health and Public Sector industry group. Sara also serves as an elected member of the Confederation of British Industry (CBI) London Council, and gained Chartered Membership of the Institute of Logistics and Transport, while also providing critical support to local children's sports clubs and Scouting organizations.
Sara sees that healthcare is facing new challenges, and says she is energized to be part of the solution.
