Peter Thomas

Managing Director, Integrated Marketing, Accenture Europe

Peter re-joined Accenture in July 2012 to lead its corporate marketing and communications efforts across the geographic unit. He previously held the same role from 2005 to 2009 but left to become director of corporate communications and public affairs at the Rugby Football Union. Prior to re-joining, he also spent time at Bloomberg LLP as head of EMEA communications. 

At Accenture he is accountable for the integration of the company’s various marketing programmes across the breadth of its business and leads the brand communications and corporate reputation programmes across Europe, and day-to-day leadership in the UK and Ireland.  His responsibilities include client relationship marketing, digital marketing, media relations, sponsorship and hospitality, internal communications, recruitment marketing and executive communications. 

Before he started at Accenture in 2005, Peter spent seven years at Hill & Knowlton, one of the world’s leading communications consultancies, ending up as head of the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) technology practice. He started his communications career at GCI Sterling, another PR agency, in 1989 and has more than 20 years’ experience in building and delivering reputation programmes for major global organisations.
