Emma McGuigan runs Accenture’s UK and Ireland Technology business, which includes both consulting and outsourcing and accounts for approximately 70 percent of Accenture’s UKI business.
Emma joined Accenture in 1994 after graduating with a Master’s degree in Electronics from the University of Edinburgh. Since joining Accenture Emma has worked across a number of large scale systems development architecture and delivery management programmes.
Emma is passionate about supporting women to fulfil their potential in their careers and encouraging more young women to pursue careers in technology, leading Accenture’s work with ‘Stemettes’ a charity dedicated to increasing the number of women in STEM careers. In 2015, Emma was listed as one of the 50 most influential women in UK IT by Computer Weekly. In 2012, Emma was the technology category winner of Women in the City's Woman of Achievement Awards and in 2013 was made a fellow of The Chartered Institute for IT.
Outside Accenture, Emma is a keen triathlete, a trustee for the Orchid Project and a business advisor to a sustainable development charity.
