The new roles span a wide range of skills and capabilities and offer opportunities for candidates from experienced executives to entry level, including apprentices and graduates.

These positions will be based at Accenture’s locations throughout the UK, including London, Newcastle, Manchester, Edinburgh and Aberdeen. Accenture’s recruitment drive is focused primarily on professionals who offer:

  • Technology and digital skills – to fill more than 450 positions across key areas, including information architecture, analytics, mobility, eCommerce and digital marketing

  • Industry expertise, across areas including Financial Services, Retail, Communications, Media & Entertainment and Energy – for more than 350 sector-specific roles

  • Operational and IT strategy expertise – for approximately 100 consultant positions in Accenture Strategy

Accenture is also seeking candidates for other graduate entry level positions, Accenture Operations and for a range of corporate roles, which include Finance, Human Resources and Marketing & Communications.

Prime Minister David Cameron said:
"Backing business to create jobs is a key part of our long-term economic plan to secure a brighter future for Britain. Accenture’s plan to create hundreds of jobs across the country is great news and will mean financial security for more hardworking people."

Additionally, Accenture is hiring 60 apprentices across its locations in London, Newcastle, Newbury and Warwick. Launched in 2012, the Technology Apprenticeship program enables school leavers to earn a salary while developing expert IT skills. Over the course of three years, apprentices work toward achieving a Higher Apprenticeship for IT, a Level 4 BTEC Diploma and a Foundation Degree. Those apprentices who perform well and complete the program will be offered full-time jobs with Accenture.

“We are looking for skilled individuals with the drive to excel in a dynamic and fast moving environment,” said Olly Benzecry, Accenture’s country managing director in the UK & Ireland. “Above all, they must share our commitment to client service as we continue to help companies across industries transform themselves for success in the new digital landscape. In return, we are offering people a clear, flexible career path alongside world-class training and professional development opportunities.”
