Our apprenticeship programmes offer a perfect blend of training, mentorship, and a genuine head start to a career in technology or consulting. You’ll spend between two to four years, depending on your experience, qualifications and the degree programme, obtaining either a BSc, BA, or Master’s degree at the end of the programme.

Consulting Apprenticeship

Our newly launched Consulting Degree Apprenticeship programme offers you the opportunity to obtain a BSc (Hons) Practitioner in Organisational Management and Leadership & Chartered Manager Status, while gaining invaluable work experience.

On the Consulting Degree Apprenticeship programme, you will obtain a BSc (Hons) Practitioner in Organisational Management and Leadership & Chartered Manager Status, whilst gaining invaluable work experience.

You’ll develop expertise across a range of capabilities including business economics, strategic management, managing business operations, business accounting, researching business data and many more! This apprenticeship lasts for 3 years and formal training throughout the programme is supplied by University of East London, with a combination of on-the-job training, as well as structured training and courses.

You’ll need:

  • 80 A Level UCAS points or an equivalent Level 3 qualification and 5 GCSEs graded A-C (4-9) including Maths and English.
  • Have not already obtained a bachelor’s or postgraduate degree or equivalent.
  • An open and collaborative mindset.
  • Strong communication, project management and problem-solving skills.
  • An interest in technology.
  • A commitment and willingness to invest in your learning and development, devoting the time to the training and study required.
  • The flexibility to travel to different offices and client sites throughout the UK.

Technology Apprenticeship

Our Technology Degree Apprenticeship programmes are offered at five locations, matched to our key UK offices. They offer you the opportunity to obtain a BSc Degree in Digital & Technology Solutions, while gaining invaluable work experience. Some of our programmes are currently open. Find out more below.

This is your opportunity to obtain a BSc Degree in Digital & Technology Solutions, with a specialism in data analysis, whilst gaining invaluable work experience.

The apprenticeship lasts for 3 years, with formal training throughout the programme supplied by leading provider BPP University, with a combination of on-the-job training, as well as structured training and courses. Working with technical specialists supporting international clients and teams, you’ll develop skills and expertise in Data Analysis. You’ll build your knowledge of analytics, DevOps & cloud technology, providing daily support of production and development systems and implement pioneering IT infrastructure solutions for our clients.

Formal training throughout the programme is supplied by our university training provider, with a combination of on-the-job training, structured training and courses.

You’ll need:

  • A real curiosity about technology: how things work and a keen interest in building skills in this area.
  • To be a strong communicator with logical mind-set and problem-solving abilities.
  • A commitment and willingness to invest in your learning and development, devoting the time to the training and study required.
  • The flexibility to travel to different offices and client sites throughout the UK.
  • 104 ‘A’ Level UCAS points or an equivalent Level 3 qualification.

Formal training throughout the programme is supplied by our college/university training provider, with a combination of on-the-job training, as well as structured training and courses.

  • You will need to be either predicted or have achieved Scottish Highers or A Level or equivalent SCQF Level 6+ qualification across ‘A’ levels or equivalent.
  • A real curiosity about technology and a keen interest in building skills in this area. You’ll be a strong communicator with a logical mind-set, strong problem-solving abilities and able to work effectively in teams. Overall, we’re looking for a commitment and willingness to invest in your learning and development, devoting the time to training and study required.
  • Flexibility to travel to different offices and client sites throughout the UK (non-study days).
  • Ours is an industry that’s driven by client demand. This means that we have to place people in the industries and geographies where our clients need them most. As well as being flexible, an open mind coupled with patience is a real bonus.

Master’s Degree Apprenticeship

Our Master’s Degree Apprenticeship programmes are aimed at individuals without a technical background who want to kick-start their career in technology. You’ll obtain a nationally recognised Master’s degree while gaining invaluable work experience.

This is your opportunity to obtain a fully funded, nationally recognised MSc Degree in Digital & Technology Solutions whilst gaining invaluable work experience.

 

This 30-month master’s degree apprenticeship programme is aimed at individuals without a technical background who want to kick-start their career in technology. You’ll get the opportunity to develop your expertise across a range of capabilities including digital, web, data, cyber security, cloud computing, innovation, project management, application, and infrastructure development. Formal training throughout the programme is supplied by our university training provider, with a combination of on-the-job training, structured training and courses.

 

You’ll need:

  • A 2:2 in any degree (or equivalent qualification) and grade 4 or above in GCSE Maths and English OR a minimum of 5 years’ military service at officer rank and grade C or above in GCSE Maths and English.
  • A real curiosity about technology and a keen interest in building skills in this area. You’ll be a strong communicator with a logical mind-set, strong problem-solving abilities and able to work effectively in teams. Overall, we’re looking for a commitment and willingness to invest in your learning and development, devoting the time to training and study required.

Although you might not be familiar with us, there’s a good chance you’ve seen our work – after all, we’ve delivered projects for some of the biggest household names around. Take our work with YouView for instance, or the biometric passport readers at the gates of Heathrow Airport, or even with the National Theatre where we have used AI to help enhance the theatre experience for the hard of hearing.

Do I qualify?

We don’t ask for any specific qualifications; a bright mind, the motivation to succeed and the ability to think logically will set you apart here. However, if you join us with prior A Level or Level 3 qualifications you will have the chance to move straight into the degree level qualification, please refer to each programme section for full details.

Overall, you’ll be keen to increase your knowledge, learn more about our industry and reach your full potential. And, as you’ll be studying for qualifications whilst you’re working you’ll need a strong work ethic and be happy to use some of your personal time to invest in your learning.

In addition, we look for people with great communication skills and an inquisitive mind. It’s also important that you can work well as part a team and have a “can do” attitude.

How do I apply?

The info you need to know about applying to an Accenture programme.

1. Online application

Applications for most programmes open in the autumn. To apply, you need to complete an online profile. You can only apply to one programme in any six month period but if you are unsuccessful you can apply to other roles.

2. Discovery Portal

If you are suitable for the role, you’ll be invited to our Discovery Portal. This is an interactive experience and takes about an hour, but there’s no time limit. You’ll receive feedback within a few days.

3. Assessment Centre

If you’re successful at the Discovery Portal stage, you’ll be invited to one of our assessment centres where you’ll take part in a variety of activities designed to help us find out what your strengths are.

4. Technical Interviews

For some of our programmes, the final stage will be one or two technical interviews with managers from the specialist area you have applied to work in. We’ll give you lots of advice before your interviews.

FAQs

We’re a professional company, so you should look equally professional. For women, this means trousers or skirts with a smart top, smart dresses or suits. For men, smart trousers and a business shirt or, ideally, a suit. Ties are optional but you will probably want to wear one when smarter dress is called for.

Your working hours will be from 9am to 5.30pm. Of course, as you work towards your qualifications you’ll also need to put personal time towards your studies in order to progress on the scheme.

The apprenticeship lasts for around two, three or four years, dependent on the scheme and what level you join us. During that time you’ll be kept busy with a mix of on-the-job experience as well as structured training and courses. You’ll also work towards qualifications so you’ll progress through different stages over the course of your time on the scheme.

If you perform well and complete the apprenticeship, you may be offered a full-time job. Our final decision will be based on business demand.

All apprentices will be offered a 1 year fixed term contract, which will be renewed at the end of each year for the duration of your apprenticeship. Upon successful completion of your apprenticeship, you will be moved into a permanent entry level role.

The role you take on will vary depending upon the project that you join and the area of the business that you’re working in.

This depends on which Apprenticeship programme you choose. Please look at each individual scheme for full degree titles.

The main differences between these opportunities are:

  • The qualifications you will receive upon completion of your degree (look at the individual scheme for further detail)
  • The day-to-day activities will vary as the Consulting programme will have more of a project management focus, that will include a lot of client-facing roles whereas technology may be focusing on the more technical element of our services for clients
  • Universities you will be studying at; for Consulting this is University of West London, for Technology it will vary by location
