Innovation & Technology Engineering Graduate Programme
On our Innovation and Technology Engineering Graduate Programme, you’ll develop your skills to shape and direct the technical solutions and blueprints that solve our clients’ biggest business challenges. You’ll evaluate the project requirements, work alongside a project team to set the technical strategy, process and technology architecture, and support the delivery of change.
WHAT WILL I BE DOING?
The Innovation & Engineering Technology Programme offers two specialisations to get your career started at Accenture. They are Technology Architecture and Digital.
For Technology Architecture, you will grow to become an expert in exploring how a client’s vision is achieved through using the latest technologies, such as Cloud, Big Data, Internet of Things, Containers and Digital Technologies.
For Digital, it’s all about working with Big Data, Blockchain, Cloud, Analytics, Mobile, Data Science and Artificial Intelligence. We will train you in some key technologies to get you started and place you on projects where you will build your skills and experience to deliver some of latest digital technologies to our clients. We’ll also up-skill you in the best delivery practices such as DevOps and Agile, as well as Accenture Delivery Methods.
DO I QUALIFY?
As an Analyst in Innovation & Technology Engineering you’ll be curious about technology and how things work, you will have a keen interest in pursuing a career in either technology architecture or digital technologies. Ideally you will have some understanding of at least one programming language or technology. You will also need a minimum 2:1 degree (any discipline – achieved or predicted).
WHERE WILL I BE BASED?
You’ll need to be prepared to travel as client projects could take you anywhere in the country – or even the world – though you will be aligned to a base at one of our main office locations in either Edinburgh, London, Manchester or Newcastle.
We believe that your career is your adventure. All this training, experience and client exposure is focused on turning you into an expert in exploring how a client’s vision is achieved through using the latest technologies whilst developing and sustaining the skills our clients demand.
What you know is what we can sell to our clients. So we’ll invest in your development from your first day. And realising you need to be up-to-speed as soon as possible, we’ll make sure you have all the training you need. As well as an award-winning induction programme and a supportive graduate community within the Technology Analyst Group, you can look forward to mentoring from some of our most successful leaders. The training you’ll receive will be wide spread and practical. It will combine sessions that focus on critical soft skills as well as the technical skills you’ll need to develop into a trusted and successful Technology Architect.
All training will help you get the all-round skills for success, but it will be your experience that will really make the difference, which is why the variety of live project work we’ll give you will be so important.
In addition, Accenture offers formal training schools for Technology Architecture and associated disciplines such as Integration Architecture and Development Architecture, so you’ll have the opportunity to gain a formal industry-recognised Technology Architecture certification.
We understand that what you earn and the benefits you receive have an enormous impact on your quality of life. Because we’re always competing to attract and retain the very best people, we continuously review our rewards strategy to make sure it’s the best it can be. It includes:
The info you need to know about applying to an Accenture programme.
Applications for most programmes open in the autumn. To apply, you need to complete an online profile. You can only apply to one programme in any six month period but if you are unsuccessful you can apply to other roles.
If you are suitable for the role, you’ll be invited to our Discovery Portal. This is an interactive experience and takes about an hour, but there’s no time limit. You’ll receive feedback within a few days.
If you’re successful at the Discovery Portal stage, you’ll be invited to one of our assessment centres where you’ll take part in a variety of activities designed to help us find out what your strengths are.
For some of our programmes, the final stage will be one or two technical interviews with managers from the specialist area you have applied to work in. We’ll give you lots of advice before your interviews.
Well done! If you’re successful in all the stages we’ll offer you a place on the programme and tell you your start date. If you don’t pass, we’ll give you the opportunity to get feedback.
Three months before your start date, we’ll ask you to provide evidence of your academic results and two references. We’ll then send you details of your training week where we’ll welcome you into Accenture!
