"Accenture’s HR TAP program offers visibility to the local HR communities, and access to our top HR leaders."
How I put change in motion
As an HR Career Advisor Specialist, I help our Accenture team members promote their skill sets and connect with new projects that align with their aspirations. One of the best things about Accenture is the size and scale of its operations in every country. There are a huge number of opportunities to do a variety of work, regardless of the current area of business you’re currently working in.
I’ve been with Accenture for almost three years now and have already worked on a variety of team projects. I’ve gained experience with early talent, consulting, reward, talent supply chain, Singapore recruitment and legal teams.
My international rotation with the Talent Accelerator Program (TAP) took me to Singapore, where I managed a project to design and implement a technology recruiting platform across four countries in Southeast Asia. It helped me develop project-management skills that will be invaluable going forward.
I appreciate working for a company like Accenture, where I’m encouraged to spend time learning and developing my skillsets. You get great visibility both inside and outside the local HR communities, and you get access to our top HR leaders.
A day in my life
Each day is unique in its own way. Frequently you’re getting coaching and on-the-job training. For example, when I did my rotation on the Total Rewards team, I was helping to harmonise acquisitions with Accenture terms, helping to reward employees, or doing market intelligence or gender pay-gap analysis. And you’re always building relationships and identifying areas for improvement.
In my spare time, I enjoy socializing with friends and eating out at restaurants. I love skiing, sailing and traveling and have spent time traveling around Southeast Asia, India, Sri Lanka and Singapore.
